Religion Title: Mom: Outed pastor told gay son he's going to hell SAGINAW, MI (WNEM) - A mother came forward with new accusations against the local pastor who resigned after being outed as gay. Click here to read the church's just released letter on it's website. She said what that pastor told her son nearly drove him to suicide.
Jennifer Kish is angered over the recent revelation that Matthew Makela might be gay, not because of his alleged sexual preference, but because of how he treated her son while they were parishioners at his church.
Makela is a Midland pastor who resigned after being outed by a website. The website said it outed Makela because of his outspoken stance in recent years against homosexuality, a stance one woman said was particularly harmful to her family.

To: Gatlin (#0) "a stance one woman said was particularly harmful to her family." Hey lady. If your son was happy being a homosexual, why did he consult with a minister about his homosexuality? Your son was depressed and suicidal before he talked to the minister. (By the way, no one goes to hell for being gay. It's how the person behaves.)

I wonder how much his Mom is responsible for his problem?? “Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rapidly promoted by mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.†#4. To: misterwhite (#2) There is no such thing as being "gay". It is a construct to shovel behavior into a physical reality. As being a "farmer" does not make one any different than a "lawyer" other than job definition. Being "gay" means the person is no different than "straight" or "bi". Engaging in sodomy, a man "lying with" another man as he would a woman, is a sin. Sin leads to the second death, judgement from our Creator. The Pastor was correct, of course his words also condemned him, and he surely knew that. What he did was no different than an "alcoholic" counseling another to quit drinking. If the Pastor was still engaging in the "sin" while counseling against it, he is a hypocrite but he was still correct in his words.
#5. To: CZ82 (#3) "I wonder how much his Mom is responsible for his problem??" Yeah. Where's dad? But one look at the kid and you know he's gay. As to responsibility, the minister did ask the mother not to support her son's homosexuality. So I'd conclude that she does bear responsibility for his depression and suicidal thoughts. She is so "accepting" and "open-minded" about the homosexual lifestyle that she's ignoring the fact her son is miserable.
