In October of 1983, my fraternity at UVA, Sigma Chi, had a Halloween Mixer with PiPhi, the hottest sorority on Grounds. Mark Herring, Virginia's ex-Attorney General, was there, dressed in Blackface as some Rapper I had never heard of. Meanwhile, I was there with a mop on my head, Whiteface makeup, and disguised as Twisted Sister lead singer, Dee Snider. And when the Deejay played the then- recent new hit, "We're Not Gonna Take It", for One Shining Moment, MUD was the "Beau of the Ball"...LOL@myself.
