BEIJING - Beijing and Moscow have called for Nato to halt its expansion, saying in a joint statement that the United States-led military alliance should abandon its ideologised cold war approaches.
The statement, issued after a meeting on Friday (Feb 4) in Beijing between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, criticised the US for its negative impact on regional peace and security.
It also said the two countries were seriously concerned with the Aukus defence alliance that includes Australia, Britain and the US, especially their cooperation on nuclear submarines.
The statement and the meeting between the two leaders are a strong show of solidarity, as both their countries grapple with increasing tensions with the West over the Ukraine crisis and other issues.
The Chinese foreign ministry said that the talks were in-depth and substantive, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly.
In televised opening remarks to his host, Mr Putin hailed Moscows close relationship with Beijing, calling it a strategic partnership of unprecedented character.
Mr Xi said both sides should strongly support each other in safeguarding sovereignty, security and development interests, in order to effectively respond to external interference and regional security threats, and maintain international strategic stability, according to a statement by the Chinese foreign ministry.

The Chinese are in bad shape, and it is going to get worse. Their real estate is coming unraveled, as Japan's did. It is 35% of their economy. Most of the savings of most people is in real estate, and it is falling. Remember when those "in the know" said "Japan cannot be stopped!" back in the 1980s? Yeah. China has done the same thing as Japan.
China wants Taiwan. They want it so bad they can taste it. They want Taiwan. They want the Senkakus from Japan. They've already grabbed huge sections of Philippine Sea, and they want the Filipinos to cave in the face of their aggression. If the US stands, the Japanese will stand, and if they stand, South Korea, the Philippines and Taiwan will stand. Australia too, so recently bullied by China. Well, now it's Australia AND the US, and Australia will have its own nuke boats.
The Chinese hate this. Good!
Now the Russians. NATO never was going to expand into the Ukraine. It was not on the cards. But Russia is going to ally with China anyway? Going to be aggressive anyway? Fine. Perhaps we SHOULD bring the Ukraine into NATO, and Georgia. Perhaps we SHOULD topple the government of Belarus and bring those long suffering people into NATO.
Russia will do one of two things. Wilt and lose, or blow up the world. And they don't want to die. The Russians are not strong anymore. They're just a nasty, corrupt regime at the edge of civilization. They don't get to call the shots. If they're going to ally with China, then they lose.
The "final axis" may be Russia plus China. Ok. The Free World will beat them, rather handily. No, bullies don't get what they want just because they threaten. They are militarily puny, and they are unreasonable.
So, the answer to both of them is No. Fuck you. Do something about it, assholes. They can't. If they try, they lose.

That is EXACTLY the response the Free Nations of the West MUST deliver to this new Marxist Axis of Evil. But who amongst the present leaders has the balls to stand up and deliver that message? Certainly not TraitorJoe Biden...not Canadaz Snowflake PM, Trudeau...Germany is hopelessly compromised by its dependence upon Russian energy... Australia leaders have gone CovidCrazy... maybe Japan will make its valid fears more urgent to the rest of the West? I think Boris Johnson may have the chutzpah to make the case, but he may lack the needed gravitas. We have three precarious years ahead of us before we can get a competent leader in the White House, and I expect both Vlad and Xi will do what they are going to do, just making the reelection of Trump that much more certain.
Regards...MUD
