What Were You Doing 75 Years Ago Today?

Are you dyslexic, banjo boy?

We were released from school early and had no idea why until I got home and saw step-mother crying. I was in elementary school.

Be very careful how you throw around the word, "dyslexic."

There was no school on November 22, 1945.

It was Thanksgiving Day 75 Years ago on that date.

There was no school on November 22, 1945.

Isn't that the day you retired from the Air Force?

There was no school on November 22, 1945. Isn't that the day you retired from the Air Force? On November 22, 1945 – I was enjoying Thanksgiving with my family. And looking forward to fulfilling my desire to service our great nation in the Air Corps. A desire I fulfilled while serving in 12 different ranks and 10 different pay grades. I wore a military uniform to serve our country. As an enlisted man, I was one rank below the highest enlisted grade. And as an officer, I was two ranks below general. During my 24 years of military service, I witnessed people of different backgrounds learn teamwork and discipline so they could rise to all challenges. I have also seen firsthand and participated in community-based nonprofits which showed that you don’t have to wear a military uniform to serve your country. Our Founding Fathers believed that the “pursuit of happiness” was not just an individual right, but also a collective undertaking. It is in this regard – I say that you need not wear a military uniform to serve our country. I therefore ask what have you done to serve our country – and more importantly, what are you doing now?

On November 22, 1945 – I was enjoying Thanksgiving with my family.

I was only off by a few years...you actually retired the year I graduated HS.

During my 24 years of military service,

Thank you for your service to our country.

Our Founding Fathers believed that the “pursuit of happiness” was not just an individual right, but also a collective undertaking.

Well, that “pursuit of happiness” has turned into a nightmare called the New Normal (NWO), brought to you by the same dark forces that shot Kennedy in the head.

I therefore ask what have you done to serve our country

I have held forth the Word Of Life to 1000's upon 1000's of souls in need of a Greater Hope, yet a hope in parallel to that of our Founding Fathers. I admit that this was not enough. I and my fellow servants of Christ overlooked some valuable truths that would have been salt and light in deed.

what are you doing now?

There is nothing to do now but watch and pray.

There is nothing to do now but watch and pray. Your fatalistic attitude should scare you. In fact, it should terrify you. Most of us are fatalistic without even realizing. We believe that things happen for a reason, that there is a greater being controlling this all. It’s the reason we get drunk and walk home without considering the consequences. It’s the reason that, despite there being a long history of earthquakes in Japan, only 3 per cent of the population of Kobe, which was badly affected by an earthquake in 2011, had any insurance to cover the damage. Fatalism should not be confused with ignorance. We all know that bad things happen, but we never think they’ll happen to us. People move to these high-risk zones, they gravitate towards high-risk situations, because the lifestyle, social circle or economic attraction IbJensenLiz is Swamp, a gets her share of the bribe $$$. I will leave any concern about that up to the conspiracy theorists. For I have long learned that foolish conspiracy theories will continue to swirl around us like some noxious germs, only to target the mind instead of the body – if we let them. Our immune system can easily leave us vulnerable to pathogens in the same way that our emotional state can make us more open to false — and sometimes dangerously harmful — conspiracy beliefs. There are ways we can take to protect ourselves from these conspiracy ideas. I don’t allow myself to become overwhelmed with spiraling hypothetical thoughts. I keep equilibrium on a level that is in a good way of protecting myself from feeling any strong conspiracy emotions. Being fatalistic means thinking that what is going to happen can't be changed. Fatalism tends to be associated with a negative, pessimistic, passive outlook. In other words, being fatalistic means having feelings of powerlessness or hopelessness about life. Adopting a fatalistic attitude can have negative consequences such as undermining personal responsibility, difficulty in making choices, and procrastination. An excellent quote by Clint Eastwood in the movie Heartbrak Ridge and a great methodology to live by: “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!” To that, I will simply add – “ALWAYS.” Gatlin posted on 2020-11-24 18:29:10   Reply   Private Reply #17: BorisY    To: Gatlin (#15) Did you noTice 75 was Transposed for 57 This was supposed To be funny hhhmmm boris BorisY posted on 2020-11-24 18:46:00   Reply   Private Reply #18: watchman    To: Gatlin (#16) There is nothing to do now but watch and pray. What you consider religious fatalism, I consider a delightful rest. It's called not getting involved with things that are far beyond me. A Davidic song of ascents. LORD, my heart is not proud; my eyes are not haughty. I do not get involved with things too great or too difficult for me. Ps. 131:1 There comes a time when the Christian has "to let go and let God". And this is definitely one of those times. The NWO is here and it is unstoppable. Evil men were putting the pieces in place long before you were enjoying Thanksgiving with your family. “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!” When the Luciferian governor of your state violated your human rights and told you to imprison yourself in your home did you “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!”? Nope. Out of fear, you did as you were told. The same with the mask. Soon, you will be told to have poison injected in your veins. I fear that your “Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!” is more like "Submit, Rationalize, and Acquiesce" How can you possible say this after you emphatically said: “There is nothing to do now but watch and pray.” There is always something you can do to improve your circumstances. I suggest that you can always find a way to improve any situation simply with the power of clever thinking and logical reasoning Before you accept Religious Fatalism or resort to Abductive Reasoning – remember the immortal retort of Captain John Paul Jones to a request to surrender: "I have not yet begun to fight!" No. Our Founding Fathers believed that the “pursuit of happiness” What do you know of genuine happiness, much less the pursuit of it? I know that nothing feels better than the genuine happiness of waking up each morning with a light feeling and a positive heart. I know that I experience this feeling every day. I know that this is something that many people want — to feel and cherish that genuine happiness and it is so easily accessible. I know that genuine happiness starts within yourself. I know that genuine happiness begins when you are slowly learning to appreciate every bit of you. I know that genuine happiness is when you can peacefully sleep at night because no one and nothing bothers you. I know I have and do all of these thing – and I definitely know I have genuine happiness. You pursue only bitterness. In all the posts you have made these many years the overwhelming character trait that you manifest has been bitterness. Your goal: to defile as many as you can with your bitterness. Not true – You are distorting reality. There are any number of ways you can distort reality. There is faulty perception whereby someone believes they are always right in what they see, hear and remember. Not realizing that their perception is often inaccurate, particularly in emotionally charged situations. You can change your perception when you consider the ways in which your perceptions may be inaccurate. Another way to distort reality is to have an idea in your mind and you then tend to look for evidence that supports that idea and not pay attention to evidence that says the idea isn’t accurate. This is known as Confirmation Bias. You tend to look for and pay attention to evidence that supports your beliefs. You're just a bitter man...(you don't have to be bitter, if you would only avail yourself of the grace of God. Confirmation Bias – You have let it control your brain.
