Ok...
I'm wearing tinfoil, and thinking hard.
I am getting a lot of qualms about this "oil spill" in the Gulf. Psychic chills.
We know that the Dems/commies say "Never let a disaster go to waste"
And knowing that...I'm getting the Heebie-Jeebies about them using this Gulf Oil Spill for political motives:
1. End all drilling offshore (A democrat dream)
2. Destroy all oil companies and grab their profits/assets and put them under Government control
3. Force Americans to give up gas-powered cars
4. Force rationing of electricity
5. Force rationing of heating oil
6. Increase prices/taxes on all forms of oil
7. Another far-reaching Bill - to control everything to do with POWER: batteries, engines, maintenance, heating homes, transportation - and force every consumer to do what THEY say to do, and USE what they say to use.
8. Time period to comply then HUGE fines.
Please let's watch this situation - and prove me wrong.
I wanna be wrong.

We take the kids to Virginia Beach each August and the jellyfish haven't been an issue for the last 4-5 years. That's on the Atlantic Coast, though...imho, the jellyfish are much more problematic in the Bay...MUD

Oh yeah, I learned that the hard way the first year. got stung in the water across the chest, then the foot by one dead on the beach (laughing).
I lived down on Willoughby Spit, Ocean View. Couple of blocks from the Hampton Roads tunnel back then. Eventually had a place on Little Bay with a view of...I 65? I-64? (can't remember which) and the Naval Air Station from the small beach in the back. Guy next door was building a HUGE ocean going katamaran.
