I love seafood, but since I'm in flyover country there are slim pickings. When I head east I try to get my fill. I'm partial to lobster, steamed clams and raw oysters.....Mmmmmm-mmmmmmm. Flounder, red snapper etc. too.

I set some sort of record for both raw oysters and stone crab claws this past weekend. Had at least a dozen oysters at every non-breakfast meal. I have a buddy who lives north of Tampa - a life long friend who was able to retire @ age 35 and lives the absolute life of goddam Riley if ever anyone did, god bless him. I had lunch with him on Friday which was a catered smorgasboard of food from 4 of Tampa's top restaurants. Absolutely insane, but he had also had a raw bar set up with shrimp, little necks, oysters, and stone crab and lobster claws. There were only 6 of us at that lunch by the way. As he said, "the economy is a relative thing."
Dude...the trout just a few miles east of where you are is second to none. Same with the bass...
