Rockin Week-End Music Thread: 1960's ??
I don't know how anyone else here deals with everyday stress, but I have always turned to MUSIC, and tuned out the world and anyone who might be around me! I'm sort of stuck on the 60's right now, but feel free to post any of your favorite music, I love it all....
1960
YES! IT'S ME; REBELGAL; And I Can Be Both, Devil or Angel!
I've had a good day, and feelin nostalgic I guess. It's quiet and I can sleep in anyway...I'm basically a night person anyway, I love music and very old classic movies.
I'm nightowl as well, always have been. Cut back on the coffee after noon a few months back and its not 2AM most nights. Tonight got a 'guest' downstairs, rescue dog we arranged a transport to a 'forever home' from here to Chicago. So my five dogs are just a tad worked up, So here I am on this fuckin mini lap top in bad light in front of the fire, watchin 'The Rock' (laughing)
Fred, never picked up on you being in Kentucky. If you haven't tried Four Rose's Bourbon, especially 'Small Batch' I highly recommend it. Toured the disillery in Lexington last year, love the stuff. Of course, they don't sell it in Ohio (eyes rolling).

I rarely drink the hard stuff; I prefer the liquid bread.
Someone talked me into signing up as a Maker's Mark Ambassador a number of years ago. You can do it online for free and you get on their mailing list. I've gotten free promotional items (not booze) over the years. Also they host various events a few times a year.
The most recent event is Thoroughbreds & Redheads Weekend April 9&10 at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington.
Yeah, signed up for Crown's similiar promotional program. I need to make a run to Northern Kentucky for a reload of my favorites soon.
Wild Turkey (I think its WT) has a bourbon based version o Bailey's Cream liquor thats simply the best I've ever tasted. Wife REALLY likes it. So good she does a shot of it on occasion, just sipping it over an hour while reading. Taste is unbelievably good. The only difference is once you open the bottle you MUST refrigerate it til its gone.
That Four Roses Small Batch...I have a lot of friends that don't drink 'the hard stuff' but one sip and they change that status. You should check it out next time your in Lexington. Hit the taster's bar and get a shot for free. You'll be glad you did. Best bourbon I've ever had...and I've check all the Kentucky bourbon's out at one time or another over the years.
I was saying about three or more years ago it was called Wild Turkey Honey or something along those lines. Wild Turkey still makes it and the recipe hasn't changed; but the bottle style and name have. So we're in agreement here.
