A new poll shows 72 percent of French believe that the government offers too much aid to migrants, and the same percentage think they pose security problems. Another poll this year found that 64 percent of French are against non- European immigration. They like the retirees just fine. And the Polish plumbers, well, that's a little economically irritating to French plumbers, but not enough to move the needle. Nobody in France thinks that immigration by other Europeans is really a problem.
Nor do the French care about black French people coming in from the overseas parts of France - Guadeloupe and Martinique, St. Martin, Marie-Galante, etc. These people are as French as anyone from Paris, speak French, share the culture, and do not create any cultural tensions at all. The black/white skin color bar is not a French thing.
No. The issue - which the French media itself simply will not focus on - is the Muslims. MUSLIM immigration into France causes the cultural threat, and the physical threat. The problem is not "immigrants', or black people who are French. The problem is ISLAM. And it will remain a problem.
Because Islam is like rust, it never stops, and it never sleeps.
