The daughter of former US Republican vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin is to guest-star in The Secret Life Of The American Teenager, according to reports. Bristol Palin, 19, the eldest daughter of the former Alaska governor, made headlines when she had a baby out of wedlock with Levi Johnston, a Playgirl cover model.
Bristol who is currently caught up in a legal battle over child support with Johnston will appear as one of lead character Amys friends at a music programme for teen mothers in the ABC Family network show, which also stars Molly Ringwald.
Bristol said: 'I am thrilled to be on this show and to be a part of a programme that educates teens and young adults about the consequences of teen pregnancy.'
Teenagers executive producer, Brenda Hampton, meanwhile praised Bristol.
She said: 'Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America. Were thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that weve been exploring for a couple of seasons now.'
