United States News Title: Biden Promises to Give ‘$11 Billion Annually’ So Other Countries Can Fight Climate Change Biden Promises to Give ‘$11 Billion Annually’ So Other Countries Can Fight Climate Change November 12, 2022 Vivek Saxena In the wake of Republicans’ horrible performance in the midterm elections, President Joe Biden is doubling and tripling down on his climate change agenda, and it appears the only ones who can stop him are congressional Republicans. During a speech delivered Friday at this year’s United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), the president called for the United States to spend a whopping $11 billion per year to fund climate change efforts in other countries. He said specifically that he’s “committed to work with our Congress to quadruple U.S. support to climate finance and provide $11 billion annually by 2024, including $3 billion for adaptation.”

The key word in what he said was “Congress.” “If Republicans win the House or Senate in the midterm elections, they could balk at sending billions of dollars to other countries for a climate agenda they oppose,” The Washington Post notes. As a result, environmentalists “are now urging the White House and congressional Democrats to fight to include this funding in the next government spending bill in December.”
The trick could work, since congressional Republicans have thus far approved every single spending bill that Democrats have put together. The bad news is that Republicans are currently poised to lose the Senate and could theoretically lose the House as well. Dovetailing back to the president’s remarks, it provoked massive criticism from those Americans tired of their money being spent on other countries: And that is OUR money!!! Helping everyone else but ourselves, Biden’s mantra! — TomHarrisCoGA1ST (@bowmanhc) November 11, 2022 Grand gesture, America last and we have to pay for this. I still don’t believe there is even a climate change issue. — Dorothy Derr (@DerrDorothy) November 11, 2022 I can’t think of a bigger waste of our tax dollars. That money will literally make its way back into the corrupt politicians pockets. — Chollygirl (@Chollygirl1) November 11, 2022 No way. Why are tax payers working for other countries. We need another tea party. This time to advocate for no more of tax dollars going to foreign countries. — kenneth St Onge (@kstonge64) November 11, 2022 Remember when dems couldn’t find $2 billion for a border wall? They sure have found a lot of billions to toss around to foreign countries. — John, the Reluctant Comic Genius (@jswriter65) November 11, 2022 Under Biden’s tutelage, America has been throwing out money left and right, especially to Ukraine, but also to other countries as well. The really bad news is that $11 billion, while a lot of money, is still a far cry from the TRILLIONS — yes, trillions — that the Biden administration would like to spend to achieve its otherwise impossible climate change goals. For proof, one only need listen to the words of U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry. “We desperately need the money,. There is not enough money in any country in the world to actually solve this problem. It takes trillions, and no government that I know of is ready to put trillilons into this on an annual basis. That’s what the scientists and the U.N. finance report say we must do — $2.5 to $4.5 trillion every year, for the next 30 years,” he said to CNN this past Thursday. Look: (video @ link) No one on earth can solve climate change. It’s on a deaster cycle and will continue until the poles shift. They say we can prevent it just to keep everyone from freaking out, and the money of course. — PrepperDan (@prepperdan1) November 11, 2022 TRILLIONS to make the temperature go down less than a degrees. Sounds like a money grab that isn’t worth it unless you’re the one that’s laundering that money. — Madame Curie (@Mariek2525) November 11, 2022 So he’s basically admitting that no amount of money in the world would solve climate change? That we’ve been essentially wasting billions of dollars for years? — Rose of Sharon Mayer (@RozeRage) November 11, 2022 Oddly, I’m more worried about 1) affording food 2) paying for shelter 3) hoping I can keep heat/electric on and 4) we avoid nuclear war with China and Russia. I just can’t seem to muster an extra penny for John Kerry. — Snarkapocalypse (@Snarkapocalypse) November 11, 2022 The irony is that while the Biden administration is ready and willing to spend exorbitant amounts of taxpayer money to resolve climate change, its members, including the president, are unwilling to make any personal sacrifices. How so? Biden, Kerry, and virtually everybody else who attended COP27 arrived there using a gas-guzzling private jet instead of just taking a regular plane like everybody else. Conservative critics have long criticized this hypocritical habit: #COP27 is a gigantic ego fest of hypocrites who strut around telling us plebs how to save the planet while they fly into Egypt on private jet for a virtue signalling jamboree sponsored by Coca-Cola who produce 120 billion plastic bottles a year – 99% made from fossil fuels. pic.twitter.com/EqmiUk0it6 — James Melville (@JamesMelville) November 11, 2022 But there’s been a twist this year. Far-left activists have also been protesting the use of private jets by COP27 attendees. “Climate activists across Europe and the United States blocked entrances to airports Thursday to protest emissions from the aviation industry and call for a ban on private jets. Activists with three groups — Extinction Rebellion, Scientist Rebellion and Guardian Rebellion — descended on the airport terminals as part of organized actions in at least 13 countries,” according to NBC News. Those EnviroWhackoz shutting down airports across Europe are obviously the One-Worlder's brownshirt foot soldiers, working in lockstep with their Authoritarian Masters. Who the Hell knows where ANY of this proposed $11 Billion annual slush fund ends up? I really, REALLY hope the GOP secures control of the House...MUD
#2. To: Mudboy Slim (#1) Who the Hell knows where ANY of this proposed $11 Billion annual slush fund ends up? There will probably be 0 oversight on how the funds are spent.
Replies to Comment # 2. There's been no oversight of the $Billions allegedly sent to Ukraine, so the precedent has been set...MUD
