United States News Title: Now it's a majority of voters who want Biden impeached! It's now a MAJORITY of voters, including one-third of the nation's Democrats, who are waiting for Joe Biden to be impeached. Paul Bedard at the Washington Examiner cited a new Rasmussen Reports assessment that found voters "by a margin of 52%-42% support impeachment.".................. You impeach them for grave crimes. No President in our history deserved to be impeached. It should not be used as a political tool. But it is.

To: Mudboy Slim (#8) I/m not. I'm a constitutionalist. The constitution is not a toy for partisans to play with. You don't impeach presidents because you hate their politics; it takes real Spiro Agnew type crimes. Andrew Johnson did break the law, though for a constitutional reason. Should he have been impeached? Probably not. Ruchard Nixon was not impeached, but the threat was there, for the Watergate break in (which he didn't authorize) and the cover up, which he actively participated in. Should he have been impeached for that? Probabaly not. It's too small beer. Clinton was impeached for a BJ. Ridiculous. And China policy is within the purview of the President to set. There is no "master policy" above the President and above everybody, which lets you impeach officials for violating some "ultimate truth" about the United States. No! The truth is, the President sets foreign policy. To impeach him over foreign policy because you don't like the policy, or him, turns us into a banana republic. Both impeachments of Trump were of that caliber, and were absolute jokes. Impeachment is not just a way of removing a political opponent because you have the power to do it. Or maybe that's what it has become now, but if that's so, our republic is immeasurably weakened by such utterly petty and short-sighted policy. The people elect the President. They can throw him out in four years if they don't like the policy. That's it. To impeach him takes SERIOUS crime. A difference of political opinion about foreign nations is not a crime AT ALL, and impeachment should never be even talked about for that. Now, impeachment is just a matter of having the votes. The public held the Republicans responsible at the polls for impeaching Clinton, but they did not hold the Democrats responsible for impeaching Trump, twice! Maybe they will this November. I certainly hope so.

Trade policy with China is the President's prerogative. Opponents may not like it, but that's too bad. You don't get to impeach the President because you don't like his policies. He has the power.

#15. To: All (#14) Foreign policy is NOT set by Congress and by Law. Congress has no authority to set it. Congress can vote unanimously that the US will support Russia. If the President says NO, the President, alone, overrides all of Congress. Congress does not set foreign policy. The people do not set foreign policy. The government agencies do not set foreign policy. The Constitution says that the President sets it. And that's the way it is. Now, if the President is against the whole country, that means that, if it's important enough to the people, he loses the next election. But THAT is the control. Not impeachment. "I don't like the President's foreign policy" is not grounds for impeaching him.

Trump ws impeached twice by the Democrats. Nobody cared because he could not be removed. Don't get your hopes up.
