Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has been vilified by the left for decades, but a close friend who believes hes "our greatest living American" helped tell the justices story through his own words in a remarkable new book taken from 25 hours of candid discussion with the longest-serving justice. Mark Paoletta, an attorney who served as Assistant Counsel to President George H.W. Bush and played a key role in the confirmation of Thomas, became a close friend of the justice over time. Over the past three decades, theyve vacationed together with their families and made frequent road trips to visit a New Jersey nursing home where the Irish nuns who taught Thomas discipline at the segregated, all-Black Catholic parochial school resided later in life The two speak on a regular basis to this day.
The friendship eventually resulted in Paoletta co-writing a new book, "Created Equal: Clarence Thomas in His Own Words," that provides a unique look at one of the most polarizing people in America. .............
