Today’s morning newsletter is one that is certain to prompt some people to unsubscribe. There are many patriots on both sides of the Trump/DeSantis aisle who will lambast me for criticizing their favorite or complimenting the other. That’s the nature of our current polarized situation in the United States. For many, it’s either complete loyalty or you’re considered part of the problem.

I received many Twitter DM’s yesterday when I expressed my opinion about not being happy with Donald Trump lately. It was shocking to me how so many people consider any criticism of Trump proof that I must be a Democrat. Then there were those who defended Trump to the point of claiming his continued endorsement of the jabs is all “part of the plan.” One person tried to convince me that technically Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin are considered to be “vaccines” now and that’s what he’s actually touting..............

If Trump wants the top spot...it is his, imho...

DeSantis would be doing the GOP a disservice if he challenged TheDonald for the nomination, which would severely hinder the FL Governor's prospects of winning the nomination 4 POTUS in 2028.

Regards...MUD

BTW...if Trump runs for reelection in 2024 (which is, I believe, all but inevitable if Trump remains healthy), only RINOZ will challenge him.

Trump should court DeSantis as his running make now.

Discussion on a similar thread pointing out both are Floridians, and POTUS and Veep cannot be from same state .. DeSantis could be SecState or some other high profile post...MUD

I don't think the constitution says that. I'll have to check.

The President and Vice President can be from the same state.

Thank you for the correction...while Veep ain't the BEST sub-Presidential post, considering Trumpy age, it probably would be nice to have DeSantis "just a heartbeat away"...MUD

Trump all the way! Consider that he would be in his second term and free to go after anything he wants..

DeSantis would be in his first term if elected and would have to toe the line for re-election. DeSantis is young. 2028 would be his to lose!

DeSantis would be the heir apparent, and would get partial credit for everything good Trump did. 12 years of consistent rule would be a good thing.

Which means that if the election is down to just the state of Florida, and Trump and DeSantis are both Floridians, that the Veep could be a problem.

Of course, Trump can be a New Yorker.

LOL...then thank you for RE-correcting the record. That said, if they really wanted a Trump/DeSantis ticket, they could figure out a way to make it work...MUD

Trump/DeSantis2024...then DeSantis/Trump2028?

And let the Junior Trump's battle it out to decide which one deserves to carry their father's anti-DeeCeeSwamp banner...MUD

BTW... Virginia's new Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears would be an awesome Veep candidate, except she emigrated to the U.S. as a child, so she is not a natural-born citizen, not unlike Barry Hussein Obama Soetoro.

If Trump declares New York citizenship next year, could he stay a New Yorker up thru Inauguration Day in January 2025, then switch back to Florida residency for the duration of his term?

I've been thinking. DeSantis might be the better choice. DeSantis is more in tune with the transfaggot threat.

I don't know. This issue is that if it's a close election, when the Florida electors vote for Trump (if he's a Florida resident) they can't then vote for De Santis as veep. So you would get a vote for some local guy. The Democrats would vote for their candidate, and if it was just one state's difference, you could end up with Trump/Harris as the President or Veep.

Elections have been close enough recently that something like that COULD happen. Obviously if the difference in electoral votes was bigger than the margin of Florida, it wouldn't make a difference anyway.

I think DeSantis would be best, but I respect Trump, and more importantly, I respect the Trump voters, who will have none other than Trump. So the ticket really needs to be Trump/DeSantis. Give Trump his second term, make the voters happy (and enrage the Democrats), but then have DeSantis sweep in and win two more terms.

It is politically risky in the sense that DeSantis has to win after Trump, but on the other hand can ANY Republican win if Trump is shoved aside? I doubt it. I don't know if Trump can win (I do think that DeSantis would win), but I'm sure that no other Republican can win if the Trump voters stay home. And I'm not mad at them for that. Trump changed things. And I personally think he was robbed in the election by fraud (this makes me an unpopular idiot as far as most people in the country are concerned). I think he is owed his second term, even though I know that it'll be something of a pig's breakfast. That's ok. He's earned it, IMHO.

Hmmm...wanna clarify, V13?

BTW ..I pretty much agree with the rest of your comment. There is a certain historical justice that SHALL be achieved with a Trump return to the Oval Office in that DemRATZ two (2) Impeachments of TheDonald and WeThePeople will be saying, in essence, "Poppycock, DeeCeeRATZ!!"

Trump's a NooYawker... ain't ALL of them sorta like TheDonald. Politeness is NOT in most Northeasterners' situational tool belts...folks from Bahhhston are even more insufferable. However, all that really matters is that Trump's a fighter...and we need someone in the White House who realizes the Outta Control Growth and Corruption within the DeeCeeSwamp is not something we can tolerate. Draining the Swamp means firing a hell of a lotta worthless, counterproductive AppaRATchix, and convicting and imprisoning a significant portion of the higher-ups in each and every Federal Department. Expose DemRATZ/RINOZ for the scum-sucking, anti- American leeches they are...and make DemRATZ go out and earn an honest living ..seriously.
