CPAC Speaker Condemns CPAC For Allowing Gay Conservative Group (VIDEO)

During a CPAC segment to recognize student conservative activists from across the country, one particular conservative, Ryan Sorba of the California Young Americans for Freedom, denounced CPAC for allowing the gay conservative group GOProud to co-sponsor the event and host a booth. After finishing his short speech against homosexuality as being contrary to the concept of natural rights -- amidst booing from the crowd -- he walked off the stage.

"Just to change the subject for just a second, I'd like to condemn CPAC for bringing GOPride (sic) to this event," said Sorba. The young activist crowd erupted into booing, but Sorbs continued. "Bring it. Bring it. I love it. I love it. I love it.

"Guess what? Guess what? All right, guess what? Civil rights are grounded in natural rights," said Sorba. "Natural rights are grounded in human nature. Human nature is a rational substance in relationship. The intelligible end of the reproductive act is reproduction. Do you understand that? Civil rights, when they conflict with natural rights, are contrary -- hey, you sit down. The lesbians at Smith College protest better than you do. The lesbians at Smith College protest than you do. All right? Bring it."

All sides have their Rosie ODonells and Garafolo's. Fact is most of the gay couples I've known are very sucessful professionally and Conservative on just about every issue you care to mention. Then again, being gay in the midwest simply isn't a big deal, hasn't been in decades.

my anti groupie can't get through life without me.

Good thing for you...

Good for them. They need to eliminate the queer influence from the GOP. That is if they want to win elections and appeal to families instead of freaks.

Good for them.

I think you mean "good for him". You might have noticed that the CPAC people booed him, so I don't know what GOP you're talking about. Is it the one where CPAC hero Dick Cheney supports the abolition of "don't ask, don't tell"?

Dick Cheney needs his ass fucked by an aids infected Obama supporter. Then maybe he will sing another tune.

I don't know. Over at FR they're calling for him to run for Pres in 2012.

I despise Obama. But I would be hard pressed to vote for Cheney.

Here is my voting record.

88 bush 92 perot 96 dole 2000 bush 2004 Peroutka 2008 Palin

The only Dem I ever voted for in a presidential election was Brown in the Primaries. I wasn't voting Bush again in 92. I couldn't stand Clinton. And I kind of liked his "insurgent" campaign and his flat tax.

I'll add this. In 2000 Buchanan was the candidate of my heart. I betrayed my heart and voted Bush because I couldn't stand Clinton or Gore.

I was very disappointed that the Bush family got to Perot, although given his temperament he probably would have made a crappy president. Perot was the last time I felt any enthusiasm for a presidential candidate.

I wish he would have won. He couldn't have done any worse.

Just think no NAFTA. Which would probably mean not GATT. No WTO.

If they want to fix the economy then need to repeal those acts and put tariffs in place. That way if someone wants to dump slave goods (China). We can put a huge tariff on their products to make them match our labor and environment standards.

I think both sides got to Perot. IIRC Poppy was having some health problems and actually didn't look like he would live through the campaign, plus voters weren't happy when he reneged on his no new taxes pledge.. I think he was actually happy when his other son won.

I always thought Poppy got bored with the job too...I also believe that he had a good part in the cabal that had been angling for an excuse for a military presence in the Middle East since 1973 and once he accomplished that he was done...

Poppy had a more pressing engagement during one of the debates . . .

Temporarily to balance the budget. It was doable back then.

Are you saying Poppy Bush left a deficit? You know.... one of those Republicans who have owned a business and met a payroll, we are always hearing about?

He left a budget that had a deficit. The democrats controlled congress though. Just curious though. Are you under the false impression that I like poppy Bush or his son?

Obama has brought the deficit to unparalleled heights. Are you ok with that?

Of course not, but I don't minimize the part Republicans play in doing it either.

The democrats controlled congress though.

They took back control in 1987 which was about the time that the deficits began to fall...then came RTC and they went back up...ex-RTC spending - which Poppy tried to do off budget, btw, but the Dems wouldn't let him, the deficits would have continued to fall...
