The lead vocalists for classic rock groups Lynyrd Skynyrd and 38 Special have released a new song dedicated to the state of Florida and its Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.
Johnny Van Zant (Lynyrd Skynyrd) and his brother Donnie Van Zant (38 Special) teamed up on the song Sweet Florida in order to pay tribute to the state and its governor.
The lyrics of the song praise DeSantis for his leadership in the face of an increasingly mob-like left.
The press dont like him, the song says of the governor. He stands up for what he believes. So dont come down here and try to change things, were doing all right in the Sunshine State. Stay out of our business and leave our Gov alone.
The lyrics continue, Hes fighting for the right to keep our state free/Well, hes taking on the swamp and hes calling out Dr. FauciFauci/Hes the only one fighting for you and me!
The governor appeared on Fox and Friends Friday to promote the song, which is available on Spotify and iTunes.
Yahoo News and the Daily Beast published articles saying the Fox hosts gleefully promoted the shameless propaganda song.
Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning. Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.
