Top U.S. intelligence officials warned Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin is frustrated that his invasion of Ukraine is not going as planned, and that the coming weeks will get "ugly" as he takes an even more aggressive approach to try and take over the country.

During a House Intelligence Committee hearing, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines said that Putin did not expect the U.S. and European allies to respond the way they have with sanctions, and did not anticipate private companies ceasing to do business with Russia.

"Nevertheless," Haines said, "our analysts assessed that Putin is unlikely to be deterred by such setbacks and instead may escalate, essentially doubling down to achieve Ukrainian disarmament neutrality to prevent it from further integrating with the U.S. and NATO if it doesn't reach some diplomatic negotiation." Haines went on to say that her agency believes "Putin feels aggrieved because the West does not give him proper deference."

CIA Director William Burns seconded the notion that Putin is adamant in achieving his goals and that "this is a matter of deep personal conviction" for the Russian leader. stating that he believes "Putin is determined to dominate and control Ukraine to shape its orientation." Scott Berrier, the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Burns also said that he thinks Putin began this war based on false assumptions that Ukraine could be "easily intimidated," that Europeans, particularly France and Germany, are "distracted" by internal politics, that Russia's foreign currency reserves gave them sufficient protection against sanctions, and that improvements made to the Russian military would have yielded "a quick, decisive victory at minimal cost."

RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE: LIVE UPDATES

"He's been proven wrong on every count," Burns said. "Those assumptions have proven to be profoundly flawed over the last 12 days of conflict."

As a result, Burns said he thinks "Putin is angry and frustrated now."

Burns predicted that this frustration will result in "an ugly next few weeks in which he doubles down … with scant regard for civilian casualties."

Despite his belief that Russia will act with even greater force, Burns said he is also confident that Ukraine will fight back.

"The one thing I'm absolutely convinced of, and I think our analysts across the intelligence community are absolutely convinced of, is the Ukrainians are going to continue to resist fiercely and effectively," Burns said.

Haines noted that while Putin may take a tougher stance now, he may be lowering his expectations in terms of possible outcomes as he sees more and more obstacles in his way.

"What he might be willing to accept as a victory may change over time, given the significant costs he is incurring," Haines said. It is evident that the Ukrainian people, beyond the issues that diplomacy can resolve ... are victims of the same global coup d'état --- being carried out by supranational powers that intend, not peace between nations, but rather the establishment of the tyranny of the New World Order.

Just a few days ago, Ukrainian parliamentarian Kira Rudik told Fox News, while holding a kalashnikov: “We know that we are not only fighting for Ukraine, but also for the New World Order.”

The United States of America and the European nations should not marginalize Russia, but rather form an alliance with her, not only for the restoration of trade for the prosperity of all, but in view of the reconstruction of a Christian Civilization, which alone can save the world from the globalist techno-health transhuman monster.

Christian Civilization

Christian Civilization requires a Christian church...in good working condition.

which alone can save the world from the globalist techno-health transhuman monster.

Quite the contrary, Carlo Maria Viganò, you have forgotten that God is the savior of the world, not the Church. And God has given the world over to the monster...to help you remember.

What we are seeing right now is just the beginning of sorrows.

Bodies buried in mass grave as Mariupol endures unrelenting Russian assault

Too much fakery coming out of Ukraine.

Besides, wouldn't killing civilians be considered war crimes? Isn't this region monitored by international agencies like the Red Cross? Can't they show a little more respect for the dead instead of just tossing them in willy-nilly, piled up like garbage bags? Is there really any need to kick bodies into a ditch these days, what with refrigerated trucks everywhere? Perhaps the "unrelenting assault" makes them nervous about getting shot or blown up, but in the CNN photo they seem mostly unconcerned about snipers, mortars, air attacks, etc. as they drag those bodies.

And don't forget about the families of these "victims" wanting to bury their loved ones. If only they could have seen Uncle Boryslav one more time...

You know what I think, goldilucky? I think this war is fake.

As I recall, they did the mass grave trick in New York, back in 2020. People fell for it then, but who knows. I'm waiting for the grave diggers to start making TikTok videos. That'll convince the world how exhausted they are!

War is hell...and we're all in this together.

Compare the live Kyiv cams to the drudge/daily mail headlines...

Putin begins to move on Kyiv: Russian tank column is repelled and 'ANOTHER top commander killed' in devastating ambush as Moscow's forces move 'within a few miles' of capital outskirts amid fears Mariupol bombings are a sign of what is to come Russia attacked Kyiv from west and east Wednesday, as analysts say battle for the capital is now underway Footage showed that a Russian assault from the east was ambushed by artillery and suffered heavy losses

What am I missing here?

I just finished watching FNC, on the Laura Ingraham Show, where she was checking in with field reporter, Trey Yingst. It is 5:01 am in Kyiv where he is reporting. There is a forty-mile long convoy of Russian caravans edging close to Kyiv. They are within 10 miles away from the city of Kyiv.

"...within 10 miles of Kyiv..."

Taking Kyiv is one thing, holding Kyiv is another thing altogether. Putin screwed the pooch here...I do not expect the KGB Tyrant to be amongst the living by this time next year....MUD
