A war on cops is brewing across the country, and the Democrat Party is directly responsible for aiding and abetting it. They can deny it all they want, but they have blood on their hands.

Following George Floyd’s death in 2020, calls by Democrat politicians to defund or “reimagine” the police, in conjunction with soft-on-crime district attorneys, have led to a massive increase in homicides as well as an all-out assault on police officers.

According to the National Fraternal Order of Police, 2021 was one of the deadliest years for police officers. A total of 346 officers were shot last year, resulting in 63 deaths, a 55 percent increase from 2020. The number of officers involved in ambush-style attacks also increased by 115 percent in 2021 compared to 2020. In total, 130 officers were shot in 103 ambush attacks last year.

If the first month of 2022 is any indication, these trends show..........

A weird dynamic has developed here in the Capitol of the ConFEDeracy, Richmond, Virginny. While I have always been a big supporter of Law and Order, and even had a few buddies who were in Law Enforcement, I always had this feeling that the cops could, at any moment, bust me for being a regular consumer and avid supporter of THC. I worked almost 5 years for VCU as I completed my Masters, then a couple years in the City of Richmond's Department of Planning, then almost a decade as the Senior Architect for the Virginia State Parks system, and everywhere I went within The Bureaucracy, no matter how well I was doing my job, I was always one random drug test from either losing my job or else taking some anti- drug program, and either way, when I resigned my position at the VA Dept. of Conservatism and Recreation in April of 2006, I was amazed at how much relief I felt not having that Domacles' Sword hanging over my head, especially when I had a wife and two kids to support. And I loved that job, driving all over Virginia managing projects at all these beautiful State Parks...but no drug test was worth it.

As of 1 July 2021, smoking dope ain't gonna get you arrested in Virginia unless EWE R making an ASS of yourself, and now I find myself fist bumping my local cops and security guys and gals as I smile and thank them for their service, just like I always try to greet American military veterans.

"smoking dope ain't gonna get you arrested"

I think some cops smoke dope themselves.

A good buddy of mine's brother is a Captain in the Henrico County P.D., and while he is not a smoker, he confirmed that there is a reason the cops always have the best pot, and you are correct about police partaking in the evil weed. If you think about it, a lot of the Black vs. Blue distrust has to do with the hypocrisy of peace officers being charged with enforcing the Prohibition of MaryJane when the Blue were breaking the same stoopid laws they were arresting the Black for. Nobody likes a HypocRAT...MUD

There were quite a few folks partaking before Bill Clinton did NOT inhale way back when.

Plus, Slick Williez brother said that Bill Clinton snorted cocaine like a vacuum....and potheads are nothing like cokeheads and/or meth-heads...MUD

Weed: it is obviously very addictive.

Everybody on it insists it isn't, and yet every single one will risk losing job, career, liberty, life rather than just stop doing it.

That's an addiction if I ever saw one.

Personally? I don't care. Tried it where it was legal. Really don't like it at all. Tried it a second time, also where it was legal. Confirmed it: not for me.

I just think that people who tell me that it's not addictive but then would rather have their lives destroyed than stop using it are pissing on my leg and telling me it's raining. OBVIOUSLY it's addictive. Duh.

So what? Coffee's addictive. I drink it. Nicotine's addictive. I will have a cigar a couple of times a year. Alcohol's addictive. I drink it from time to time. Doritos are addictive. I have a bag of those every week. Sex is addictive. I never get enough of THAT.

Pot is addictive. I don't know why addicted people claim it isn't. That's not true. They claim it because you used to be able to lose everything over it, and they were making the point that it wasn't THAT BAD, that alcohol, and cigarettes, etc., are ADDICTIVE, but pot's NOT.

Yes, it is. Don't argue with me.

Really, don't bother. It's pointless anyway.

FWIW...as a sometime user of MJ since I was in high school back in the late-70s, imho, pot is NOT physically addictive, not like nicotine. I have had random drug testing at more than one job and had zero problem quitting for as long as I needed to make sure the coast was clear. If anything, there may be a mental addiction, as some folks just function better with a bit of a buzz to keep them focused. I have 3 younger brothers, and two have never smoked dope, while my other brother and I prefer THC to alcohol or tobaccky to take the edge off.

To each his own...and moderation in everything...MUD

Have you ever personally experienced either? I believe I was physically-addicted to nicotine due to my almost constant usage of Skoal Wintergreen Longcut, back in the day. As for THC, I have literally quit, as required, for months and years at a time. No physical withdrawals, although there were certainly times that I wouldda rather been stoned. In those times, tequila and strong cigars were poor substitutes, but I made due, and it beat having to worry about a surprise piss test before the last vestiges of THC left my system.

I don't claim to be an expert on addiction, but in my case, there is a difference between physical and mental addiction...MUD

No, I haven't.

I like good food and sex. I'll drink, I'll have a cigar, but rarely. They have no hold on me. Sex would be the hardest to say no to, but it has to be offered by an attractive package, and no 19 year old hottie walks up to a sixty year old and wants sex, so it doesn't come up.
