The Water Cooler Title: RIP Cody Cody was a dog that we got for my daughter for her birthday. He lived from about January 2010 until 10-25-2021. He will be missed by family and friends, and especially my daughter who loved him. He was a dog that was always loyal. I will miss seeing him sitting on the back porch. He was a blue heeler. Secondly, the soul of the dog will be around you for a little while, you may hear the dog even though it has died, this is based on experience of many dog owners. I am speaking as a buddhist, you don't have to believe me, but I do feel I have to tell you that all living being have souls and that's why we don't kill human or animals. If you took good care of the dog it will come back and love you back in the next life time, that's how karma works. It may come back as human or animal.
#2. To: A K A Stone (#0) So sorry for you and your family. It's so painful when they pass. I've seen 2 of my dogs in heaven. That's where Cody will be. Gunny was an English Cocker who loved to run. When we could let him loose, he would take off with pure delight in his eyes! In heaven, he was running on a sea of grass, with that happiness and joy look on his face. Our little shih-tsu loved to have his belly rubbed. His body would absolutely melt he was so relaxed. When I saw him in heaven, he looked exactly like that, draped across the Lord's arms. I don't know what Cody's thing was, but you can bet the farm that it's exactly what he's doing.
#3. To: tankumo (#1) we don't kill human or animals. Are you a vegetarian?
It may come back as human or animal. How is this decided? And what about gender selection?
#4. To: A K A Stone (#0) RIP Cody Yes, may he RIP ! I am so sorry for your loss, a loss all pet lovers have experienced. Our fur babies are never with us long enough. We just have to cherish the memories. Just remember that God only loans them to us for a short while, then He calls them home. Like I said, cherish the good memories. I hope he passed peacefully ! Regards Si vis pacem, para bellum
Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.
"If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." (Will Rogers) "No one ever rescues an old dog. They lay in a cage until they die. PLEASE save one. None of us wants to die cold and alone... --Dennis Olson " People that say money can't buy you happiness, have never paid an adoption fee #5. To: watchman (#3) Yes I am a vegetarian and I also have Catholic and Buddhist friends who are vegetarians. How is it decided? That depends on what you do, if you don't behave then you lose your human form. Animals can also be reborn as human again, if they do good things, such as saving lives. Same thing with gender selection, those who have a lot of merits (do a lot of goods, charity, saving lives) get to be reborn as male, but other factors are at work too, it's not a simple equation, but in general what and who you are today was decided by your own actions in your previous life(lives). Every action has consequece, for example those politicians voting to allow abortion effectively kill millions of lives so they will be punished accordingly and in their next lifetimes (many lifetimes) they will also suffer. Those media creating fake news against Trump will also receive their own karma accordingly.
#6. To: tankumo (#5) and as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
