BUSTED: Maricopa County Elections Official DEMANDED Pens Before the Elections And SHARPIES On Election Day

AZ Audit Hearing

A newly released email from Maricopa County Elections Assistant Director Kelly Dixon confirms the Sharpiegate scandal.

We learned on Wednesday that the Arizona audit discovered ballots were printed incorrectly and on thin paper stock that allows for ink bleed-throughs.

In an email dated October 22, 2020, Dixon writes to notify election clerks that they must issue ballpoint pens every day prior to Election Day.

TRENDING: BUSTED: Maricopa County Elections Official DEMANDED Pens Before the Elections And SHARPIES On Election Day

“We NEED to use markers on Election Day,” she writes.

Why did they only use markers on Election Day?

Trump supporters voted in overwhelming numbers on Election Day, in person, due to the concerns about mail-in ballot fraud. It looks like they took the necessary measures to suppress these votes as well.

Jennifer Asper shared an image of this letter to Twitter, originally shared by Garret Lewis and swept under the rug by the media.

Lewis: CAUGHT! Maricopa County Elections Worker Kelly Dixon ordered her staff to use ballpoint pens for early voting from 10/23-11/2. They NEED to use markers on Election Day. Why? The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors need to see this and call for a full audit. RT and share!

Asper: Busted! They knew most Trump voters would wait to vote on Election Day. #SharpieGate

Firat and foremost I want to thank you all for supporting this historic election. From my seat in the Command Center today, I finally had the chance to marvel at all the numbers and feel unbelievably grateful for all of you working so hard in support of Democracy Thanks isn’t good enough, but THANKS!!

Next, we’ve heard you and we know youre hearing issues and concerns about the Sharpie Markers. Starting tomorrow, 10/23 and through 11/2m we are asking that Clerks hand voters BALLPOINT PENS ather than markers. We NEED to use Markers on Election Day, but for now and through 11/2, hand voters a Ballpoint Pen. You have plenty of pens in your supplies right now.

Please message this to your inspectors and ensure they can cascade this change down to everyone on the Board.

The Gateway Pundit reported 2 days after the election that Arizona ballot instructions read, “Do NOT use a sharpie type pen as it will bleed through.”

We also know that Arizona was not the only state to see the Sharpiegate conspiracy.

Every day prior to election day they used the correct pens but the day they knew Trump’s voters would turn out in record numbers, they changed it.

They knew markers would cause discrepancies on our ballots.

The Elections Directors responsible for these demands belong in prison!

TexasJack

Busted is right.

They knew that Trump supporters would be turning out on Election Day and they could hand them sharpies to use which would invalidate all of their votes, kicking them out for adjudication where they could flip them for Biden to insure he won.

This is evidence of voter fraud.

There is no other motivation for making sure all the election workers SPECIFICALLY use Sharpies on Election Day.

Then insuring that the ballots were on unapproved paper so the sharpies would bleed through.

2020 was a hit.

It was an assassination.

A freakin' coup.

We learned on Wednesday that the Arizona audit discovered ballots were printed incorrectly and on thin paper stock that allows for ink bleed-throughs.

No, we did not learn that on Wednesday. We learned on Sunday ONLY that the author of this article CLAIMED that.

THE FACTS:

All of that claim is false. The ballots were not unofficial or printed on illegal paper, and even Logan never alleged they were fraudulent.

Logan pointed to ballots with the printing slightly offset between the front and back. He claimed this could cause votes to be counted for the wrong candidate if ink from one side bleeds through to another. He said the alignment issues were mostly from polling-place ballots, which are printed onsite, and said about 168,000 ballots were cast that way. The overwhelming majority of Arizona voters cast ballots by mail.

“We are seeing a lot of very thin paper stock being used especially on Election Day,” Logan added.

The allegation harkens back to the debunked “Sharpiegate” conspiracy theory that arose in the days after the election. Election experts say bleed-through doesn’t affect the vote count because bubbles on one side of a ballot don’t align with those on the other. Ballots that can't be read are flagged and duplicated by a bipartisan team.

Arizona’s election procedures manual says only that ballots “must be printed with black ink on white paper of sufficient thickness to prevent the printing from being discernible on the reverse side the ballot.” Maricopa County uses 80 pound Votesecur paper from Rolland, which is among the papers approved by Dominion Voting Systems, which makes the county's tabulation equipment, said Fields Moseley, a county spokesman.

“We NEED to use markers on Election Day,” she writes.

Why did they only use markers on Election Day?

THE FACTS:

Claim that Sharpie pens ruin Arizona ballots misses the mark.

As states across the U.S. release vote totals for the presidential election, some social media users are falsely claiming that ballots are being invalidated in Arizona. The supposed culprit: Sharpie markers.

In what’s come to be known as #Sharpiegate, social media posts suggest that election officials in Maricopa County provided voters with Sharpie pens, which interfered with ballots being recorded, specifically those for President Donald Trump.

Arizona election officials say that voting with a Sharpie would have no impact on the votes being recorded by tabulation machines, and if there was an issue, there is a process that would keep the ballots from being canceled out.

THE FACTS: As Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden was declared the winner of the presidential vote in Arizona, social media posts circulated falsely suggesting that votes for Trump were canceled because people were told to use Sharpies to fill out their ballots.

Arizona election officials confirmed that Sharpies were used in voting, but they said that would not invalidate a ballot. The Maricopa County Elections Department tweeted on Election Day that voting centers use Sharpies so that ink does not smudge when ballots are counted.

“New offset columns on the ballots means bleed through won’t impact your vote!” they tweeted in an informational video.

It looks like they took the necessary measures to suppress these votes as well.

“LOOKS LIKE” – Doesn’t mean SHIT.

#SharpieGate

BULLSHIT !!!

They knew markers would cause discrepancies on our ballots.

MORE BULLSHIT !!!

THE FACTS:

Ballots marked with Sharpie pens were not invalidated in Arizona.

CLAIM: Votes were eliminated in Arizona because people were made to use Sharpie pens to mark their ballots. This caused the tabulation machine to cancel the vote.

AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Sharpies were allowed in Arizona but they do not affect the vote. And even if a ballot could not be read by a tabulation machine, it would be reviewed by a board that re-examines the ballots. The vote would not be canceled.

THE FACTS: Following the race call on Wednesday that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had flipped the Republican-stronghold of Arizona, social media posts circulated suggesting that their votes for Trump were canceled because they were told to use Sharpies at their polling site.

Arizona election officials confirmed that Sharpies were allowed, and they would not invalidate a ballot. The Maricopa County Elections Department tweeted on Election Day that voting centers use Sharpies so that ink does not smudge when ballots are counted.

“New offset columns on the ballots means bleed through won’t impact your vote!” they tweeted in an informational video.

One video with more than 821,0000 views shows a woman speaking about how four different polling places were using Sharpies and a man asks her if “those ballots are not being counted” and “are invalid.”

“They are invalidating votes is what they are doing,” the man says. He went on to suggest voters use a ballpoint pen instead.

“People are coming here to vote for Donald Trump and all those votes are getting invalidated,” he says in the video.

Sophia Solis, public information officer for the Arizona Secretary of State, said in an email that votes would not be canceled if there was an issue with the ballot.

According to the state’s election procedures manual, a ballot review board duplicates ballots which cannot be read by the machine.

“This may include crumpled or otherwise damaged ballots, ballots with smudged ink, or ballots which are marked in the wrong color of ink or with a device that cannot be read by the tabulation machine,” the manual states.

On Tuesday, Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes commented on a tweet by a person who said that their ballot looked messy because of a bleed- through, assuring the person that it would not affect tabulation.

“Vote Centers use sharpies for the fastest drying ink, to prevent smudges going through the tabulation equipment,” he said. “This is an upgrade of our new equipment & ballots. Bleed thru does not affect tabulation because the columns are offset & the machines can only read the bubbles.”

Some posts online shared a photo of their voter information on the Arizona election dashboard where the ballot status was marked “canceled,” and pointed to it as reason to believe votes by Trump supporters were being invalidated because they were told to use a Sharpie.

“WOW! Pass this on: people’s ballots in Arizona are being labeled as CANCELED! What is going on?,” stated a post using a photo from the Arizona election website. It was retweeted more than 6,000 times.

Another post with 12,000 retweets said, “Breaking news in Arizona. Voters were given Sharpies purposefully to mark their ballots so it would void their votes in Queen Creek and Gilbert. @PressSec I’ve said hundreds of times Arizona has a massive scale voter fraud problem every single election. SOMEBODY PLEASE LISTEN!!!”

Social media users sharing the false posts labeled the conspiracy #sharpiegate.

Republican congressman Paul Gosar, added his voice to the sharpie claims Wednesday with a tweet that said he was reaching out to the state attorney general’s office.

“I’ve just requested @GeneralBrnovich to look into this issue,” he said. “We can not tolerate voter fraud in Arizona. #Election2020.”

“If a voter’s ballot is listed as canceled, it usually means the voter made an additional ballot request if they needed to have their original ballot replaced,” Solis said. “Depending on when they returned their replacement ballot, that ballot is most likely still being processed by the county.”

THE FACTS:

Give it up BoriShitz.

You have shown NO evidence.

You ae only showing unsubstantiated CLAIMS and INNUENDIOUS.

Pathetically …
