George W. Bush says the Republican Party has a shot at future elections if it curbs its 'white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism'

ydzhanova@businessinsider.com (Yelena Dzhanova)

Former President George W. Bush expressed optimism that the Republican Party will "govern again."

He said it depends on whether the GOP can distance itself from "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism."

Republicans, he suggested, need to embrace the traditional values the party was founded on.

Former President George W. Bush said he believes the Republican Party will win in future elections if its members embrace traditional ideals and curb the "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism."

Asked about the state of the Republican Party, Bush told "The Dispatch Podcast" he believes there's potential to win in the upcoming midterm elections and the 2024 presidential election.

"I think Republicans will have a second chance to govern because I believe that the Biden administration is a uniting factor, particularly on the fiscal side of things," he said.

But the Republican Party will not win by representing ideals tied to white supremacy, he suggested.

"If the Republican Party stands for exclusivity - it used to be country clubs, now it's white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism - then it's not going to win anything," Bush said.

Bush was elaborating on a question about whether he believed the 2020 election was stolen from former President Donald Trump.

A recent poll found that 60% of Republicans believe President Joe Biden won the 2020 election because of widespread voter fraud, a baseless claim that former President Donald Trump and his allies spouted for months.

The poll, conducted by Reuters and Ipsos and published last month, said Republicans also want Trump to run for president in 2024.

"Republicans have their own version of reality," John Geer, public opinion expert at Vanderbilt University, told Reuters. "It is a huge problem. Democracy requires accountability and accountability requires evidence."

Bush said in the podcast interview he does not believe the election was stolen from Trump.

Other Republicans have also predicted a GOP win in the future elections - and plan to use Trump's help to get there.

Sen. Lindsey Graham earlier this year said he wants to leverage former Trump's influence to ensure that the Republican party takes back the House and Senate in 2022.

In an interview with Politico, Graham said he'll meet with Trump to discuss the future of the GOP and his role in it.

"I'm going to try and convince him that we can't get there without you, but you can't keep the Trump movement going without the GOP united," Graham said on Friday.

"If we come back in 2022, then, it's an affirmation of your policies," he said. "But if we lose again in 2022, the narrative is going to continue that not only you lost the White House, but the Republican Party is in a bad spot."

STFU, W. What a POS he is! Kept his mouth shut while Clinton & O'Bummer tried to destroy our nation! Never countered or exposed the left & MSM when they attacked him!

Yeah, I voted for him the first Presidential election. Within 2 weeks, I knew I'd made a mistake when he gave Iran the money we were withholding to use as leverage against Iran's tyrant! (Said so on FR & it got me banned.) I voted 3rd party his next election.

He is, in fact, a Globalist traitor, & an AINO!

Neither will I !

I was at my Dad's house, watching that SOU with him. When poppy bush said that, my Dad was puzzled. He did not know what that was.

I explained it to him. My Dad, a WWII veteran, and of the same generation as poppy Bush, had a real hard time believing it. He just could not fathom someone of his generation, a fellow vet, could be that way.

I encountered the same problem with my beloved, departed uncle. Uncle was a Korean war vet, and a die hard Republican. He got mad as hell at me, because I would not vote for shrub. I explained to him why. I thought he was going to disown me. Just before he died, he called me, and asked me how I knew about shrub. He finally had come to realize I was right, and he had been wrong.

" He [Bush] is, in fact, a Globalist traitor, & an AINO! "

AGREE COMPLETELY !!!!

This article and tread is what Bush says about the future of the Republican Party.

Former President George W. Bush expressed optimism that the Republican Party will "govern again."

Do you “agree completely” with that statemen?

If not – Then why not?

Bush said it depends on whether the GOP can distance itself from "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism."

Do you “agree completely” with that statemen?

If not – Then why not?

Do you even know what "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism" means?

Probably not – So I will explain here what it actually means:

White Anglo-Saxon Protestant (WASP) is an informal term, group of high- status Americans mostly of sometimes derogatory or disparaging, for a closed English Protestant ancestry. The term implies the group controls disproportionate social and financial power. The term WASP does not describe every Protestant of English background, but rather a small restricted group whose family wealth and elite connections allow them a degree of privilege held by few others. When the term appears in writing, it usually indicates the author's disapproval of the group's perceived excessive power in society. The hostile tone can be seen in an alternative dictionary: "The WASP culture has been the most aggressive, powerful, and arrogant society in the world for the last thousand years, so it is natural that it should receive a certain amount of warranted criticism." People seldom call themselves WASPs, except humorously; the acronym is typically used by non-WASPs. Scholars agree that the group's influence has waned since the end of World War II, with the growing importance of Jews, Catholics, African Americans and other former outsiders. The term is also used in Australia and Canada for similar elites.

Jaime Johnson …

… one of the heirs of the Johnson & Johnson pharmaceutical fortune and director of the 2003 HBO documentary Born Rich talks about the blessing and burden of white, Anglo-Saxon, protestant culture. For the past few months, he's been blogging about the lives of the top one percent, and focuses on the old-guard establishment. White Anglo-Saxon Protestants, he says, are still obsessed with exclusivity and creating distinctions to support a sense of superiority.

Bush is saying – as others are also saying – get rid of the “old-guard establishment WASPs.”

Do you “agree completely” with that statemen?

If not – Then why not?

Republicans, Bush suggested, need to embrace the traditional values the party was founded on.

3rd way

I will stick with MY WAY.

is preliminary communism - atheism

This article and tread is what Bush says about the future of the Republican Party.

What does your question have to do with that?

Absolutely nothing, but I will answer it anyway.

Marxism–Leninism advocates atheism, rather than religious belief.

move To nkorea

I am perfectly happy here.

Those who give the appearance of being so terribley unhappy here are the one who need to move.

benevelenT govT means whiTe slavery - cannibalism

A benevolent dictatorship is a government …

… in which an authoritarian leader exercises absolute political power over the state but is perceived to do so with regard for benefit of the population as a whole, standing in contrast to the decidedly malevolent stereotype of a dictator who focuses on their supporters and self- interests. A benevolent dictator may allow for some civil liberties or democratic decision-making to exist, such as through public referendums or elected representatives with limited power, and often makes preparations for a transition to genuine democracy during or after their term. It might be seen as a republican form of enlightened despotism.

There are nine places across the world where cannibalism is still practiced. Can you tell me which – if any – of those have a benevolent dictatorship government?

Regardless – Democracy is better than benevolent dictatorship government although …

… some say that a benevolent dictatorship is the best form of government. That is because a dictator who wants to serve the people well can do what he wants without restraints.

It’s not that way in a democracy where public officials have to follow laws and compromise, sometimes, with others in the public sector who have different views. Definitive action is often hamstrung when opposing forces don’t want the other side to have its way.

Bureaucracy often builds up because no one has the power to limit it and invoke efficiency into the process of running government. Since Katrina, we have had many examples of that.

For example, Pres. George W. Bush started his presidency in a good way by cutting taxes which should have led to cutting the expenses of government by eliminating unnecessary programs. But he gave in to Congress and let many of those programs stand.

As a result, we face a growing deficit. So instead of government operating at less cost and better serving the public where it needs to be served, we are paying for inflated bureaucracy and building a government debt that could cause problems in the future.

Of course, a benevolent dictator could have by-passed that opposition and created a more efficient government that taxed the people less and served them better. But the problem with a benevolent dictorship is that there is no safety valve. If a benevolent dictator turns bad, he can serve his friends and turn his back on the public without a problem.

So here’s the solution for the coming election days – – elect officials who together will create a government that will serve the people at large best and forego the favoritism to special groups and individuals which has turned our democracy into a largess system that doles out favors that our system of private enterprise should provide Then we will have a democratic system that can compete with a benevolent dictatorship in efficiency and contains the check valves we need for our freedom.

As to your charge of white slavery – you will no doubt be surprise d to learn that …

They Were White and They Were Slaves is a thoroughly researched challenge to the conventional historiography of colonial and industrial labor, a stunning journey into a hidden epoch, the slave trade of Whites, hundreds of thousands of whom were kidnapped, chained, whipped and worked to death in the American colonies and during the Industrial Revolution. This is a chronicle that has never been fully told, part of a vital heritage that has until now comprised the dustiest shelf in the darkest corner of suppressed history.

The United States was at that time – and it still is – a federal, representative, democratic republic under its Constitution.

Some much for these unproven charges you have made – Moving on …

Take George judas bush wiTh you

I am not going anywhere and therefore can take no one with me.

You were asked here to …

… simply explain the reason you feel what Bush said is wrong.

Why are you unable to do this?

ps ProTesTanTism ( 1sT way ) is mulTi racial

Yes it is.

But the "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism" Bush and many others refer to is not “mulTi racial.”

You need to go here to understand exactly what "white Anglo-Saxon Protestantism" is?

The fallouT wiTh judas was The poliTical ( 2nd - 3rd way ) acTive parT

What has that to do with this tread that is about what …

… Bush says about the future of the Republican Party?

The definition of cannibalism is …

… the practice of eating the flesh of one's own species.

Now link to a definition of:

financial
intellectual
cannibalism

You cannot even use proper English and just make up shit words when you simply coin words and terms to mean only what you want them to mean.

Inarticulate is the word used to describe someone who can't clearly explain things.

you're jusT a sucked ouT
human zombie being
over indulged sTupid parasiTe liberal

Name calling is a …

cognitive bias and a technique to promote propaganda. Propagandists use the name-calling technique to invoke fear in those exposed to the propaganda, resulting in the formation of a negative opinion about a person, group, or set of beliefs or ideas. The method is intended to provoke conclusions and actions about a matter apart from an impartial examinations of the facts of the matter. When this tactic is used instead of an argument, name-calling is thus a substitute for rational, fact-based arguments against an idea or belief, based upon its own merits, and becomes an abusive argumentum ad hominem.

But when that’s all you have the ability to do – then that’s all you can do.

I understand …

You were asked to …

… simply explain the reason you feel what Bush said is wrong.

Why are you still unable to do this?

Oh, I know …

… inarticulate does have a meaning in your attempt to express yourself.

"The Rape of the Mind explores the Psychology of Thought Control, Menticide, and Brainwashing. Published in 1956 and written by Joost A. M. Meerloo, M.D.,

Atually, Abraham Maurits Meerloo was a “Johnny Come Later” – with his book Rape of the Mind published in 1956. Edward Hunter was the first to sound the clarion alarm in 1950. The term and technique used in "brainwashing" was covered extensively by Hunter to describe how the Chinese government appeared to make people cooperate with them. Hunter’s research into the concept also looked at Nazi Germany along with some criminal cases in the United States, and at the actions of human traffickers. It was Hunter that actually reported on the treatment of American soldiers in Chinese prison camps during the Korean War.

Brainwashing techniques have been around for ages and documented as far back as the Egyptian Book of the Dead and used by abusive spouses and parents, self-proclaimed psychics, cult leaders, secret societies, revolutionaries, and dictators to bring others under their thumbs and manipulate them seemingly willingly. These techniques don’t involve fantastic weapons or exotic powers, but they do involve an understanding of the human psyche and a desire to exploit it. By understanding these techniques better, you can learn how to protect yourself and others from them. USAF flight crew members are taught how to mentally counter these techniques during actual realistic exercises in the “RESISTANCE” portion of the extensive SURVIVAL, EVASION, RESISTANCE AND ESCAPE (SERE). I attended six-week long SERE and I am here to tell it was downright nasty rough.

So – No thank you. I don’t need to hear anything about A. M. Meerloo since I will continue to use Edward Hunter as the original authority on brainwashing.

"In other words, the individual citizen becomes a parrot, repeating ready-made slogans and propaganda catchwords without understanding what they really mean, or what forces stand behind them."

Nah – This need never happen.

Understand that those who attempt to brainwash others tend to prey upon the weak and vulnerable. Not everyone is a target for mind control, but certain people are more susceptible to forms of it at different times. People brainwash other people to be in control and to have power over others. Most of the time it is to make up what they lack within themselves, which is positive self-esteem.

Stay Wise – Remain Strong …
