Watch – Man uses very simple technique to prove masks do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to prevent The spread of viruses
That is NOT the correct title of the video.
The correct title of the video is:
DOUBLE MASKS Which ones are better? PART 1
So, the “PART ONE” video does NOT “prove masks do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to prevent The spread of viruses.”
The PART ONE video shows Which ones [masks] are better.”
Now, please post for everyone to see what “PART 2” of “DOUBLE MASKS Which ones are better” – Also SHOWS, on this matter.
Sources that present only partial information to prove a point, or that omit crucial information that is contradictory to their argument, are said fall under the Fallacy of Half Truths.
It is a deceptively selective process whose main objective is to focus on pieces of evidence that hold to be true to the believers and omits some facts to present an accurate argument.
High speed camera captures how different types of face masks work –
Which mask works best? To visualise droplets and aerosols, UNSW researchers used LED lighting system & a high-speed camera, filming people coughing and sneezing in different scenarios — using no mask, 2 different types of cloth masks, and a surgical mask.
We confirmed that even speaking generates substantial droplets. Coughing and sneezing (in that order) generate even more.
A three-ply surgical mask was significantly better than a one-layered cloth mask at reducing droplet emissions caused by speaking, coughing and sneezing, followed by a double-layer cloth face covering.
A single-layer cloth face covering also reduced the droplet spread caused by speaking, coughing and sneezing but was not as good as a two- layered cloth mask or surgical mask.
We do not know how this translates to infection risk, which will depend on how many asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic infected people are around. However, it shows a single layer is not as good a barrier as a double layer.

Masks don't work. That is a fact. If they did there wouldn't be any sick people.
The only people I know who got sick wear those stupid masks on their face.
If someone tries to make me wear one I will kick their ass. Or at least tell them to get the fuck out of my face before I hurt them. Get to close and you are trying to murder me with your Covid.
Anthony Fauci: We’ve Got to Get the ‘Entire World Vaccinated.’
Dr. Anthony Fauci, who has insisted people should continue to adhere to stringent public health measures even after getting vaccinated, said the Chinese coronavirus will remain a threat, which is why officials need to ultimately get the “entire world vaccinated.”
Speaking to NPR’s Fresh Air, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director emphasized that getting the majority of the population vaccinated remains a key objective in the battle against the virus. At the same time, officials must “double down on the public health measures of uniform wearing of masks, physical distancing, avoiding congregate settings — particularly indoors.”
But such drastic measures, he said, should also extend globally.
“You’ve got to be able to get — with the help of the developed world — the entire world vaccinated,” he said, according to NPR.
“As we allow this infection to exist to any degree in any part of the world, it will always be a threat. So we’ve got to approach this the way we approach smallpox, the way we approach polio, and the way we approach measles and other devastating global outbreaks,” he continued.
Fauci has said that 70-85 percent of the population in the U.S. should be vaccinated before officials begin pulling back public health measures. He also believes that people should still wear masks, even after being vaccinated, telling Fox News’s Dana Perino this week:
And just to be doubly sure, there are a couple of reasons to wear masks even after vaccination. One, you want to protect other people in case you have virus in your nasal fairings, and if you look in the community, there’s enough virus out there that before we start pulling back on things like public health measures, you want the overwhelming population vaccinated. And as I’ve said, the calculation — even though it’s still an estimate — would be somewhere between 70 and 85 percent of the population.
While Fauci has said that there is “no data that indicates” that double- masking works — a clarification he made after seemingly condoning the practice, he told reporters that he often wears two masks himself.
“I say there’s no recommendation. However, there are many people who take the common-sense approach,” he clarified.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) February 5 data, 58,380,300 doses of the vaccination have been distributed and 36,819,212 total doses have been administered.

Fauci: Put Aside Politics And Put On A Mask
Dr. Anthony Fauci Testifies Before Senate On Federal Response To Pandemic
Nationwide use of face masks could bring the spread of Covid-19 under control if 90% to 95% of the U.S. population wore such face coverings, Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday.
In an interview with the editor of JAMA, Fauci advocated all Americans wear masks as a key way to bring an end to the Covid-19 pandemic, particularly as a measure to reign in the spread of the virus until vaccines are widely available against the disease.
“If you don’t want to shut down at least do the fundamental basic things . . . the flagship of which is wearing a mask,” Fauci, who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health, told Dr. Howard Bauchner, editor of JAMA during an interview Wednesday afternoon.
Fauci’s live interview builds on a viewpoint he and NIH colleagues Andrea Lerner and Gregory Folkers wrote for JAMA published earlier this week called “Preventing the Spread of SARS-CoV-2 With Masks and Other ‘Low-tech’ Interventions.” In the article, Fauci and colleagues from the NIH said wearing masks is critical along with a “toolbox” of low-tech interventions that include “physical distancing, hand hygiene, prompt testing (along with isolation and contact tracing), and limits on crowds and gatherings.”
If the American public embraced masking and other of these “low tech interventions,” the U.S. Covid-19 outbreak could be under control with deaths and cases of the virus dropping dramatically, Fauci and NIH colleagues wrote, echoing statements by the head of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention many times throughout the pandemic.
Among Republican-Led Rural States, Vermont Is Vastly More Successful In Combating Covid-19 “We can’t have this very inconsistent wearing (of masks) where you have some states that absolutely refuse to wear a mask,” Fauci said. “It almost becomes a political statement. We have got to get away from that.”
The CDC first recommended that Americans wear face masks to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in early April but not all states have followed through and the Donald Trump White House has been inconsistent in advocating that all Americans wear masks, further politicizing the issue. Trump and his wife Melania Trump were among several who work in the White House not wearing masks who were infected with Covid-19 earlier this month and - in the last week - several of Vice President Mike Pence’s staffers that didn’t regularly wear masks were infected with the Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, cases of Covid-19 are surging to their highest levels since the outbreak with 70,000 infections being diagnosed every day along with an estimated 1,000 deaths from the deadly virus. There have been nearly 9 million Americans infected with Covid-19, according to the latest New York Times tally.
Several companies including Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca and Novavax are in final-stage clinical trials with vaccines against Covid-19, but it’s unclear when the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will approve them or grant them emergency use authorizations. In the meantime, the answer is masking, Fauci said.
“If a vaccine has only moderate efficacy, or if vaccine uptake is low, these other modalities will be even more critical,” Fauci and his NIH colleagues wrote in their October 26 JAMA “viewpoint.”
“As countries around the world seek to safely reopen businesses, schools, and other facets of society, mask use in the community to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2, in conjunction with other low-cost, low-tech, commonsense public health practices, is and will remain critical,” Fauci and his colleagues at the NIH wrote in JAMA earlier this week. “Return to normalcy will require the widespread acceptance and adoption of mask wearing and other inexpensive and effective interventions as part of the COVID-19 prevention toolbox.”

This is been an excellent exchange between two posters.
It is the way your chit-chat forum should run at all times.
Unfortunately – I ti is not.
It is not when you get a fascist “hair up your ass” and decide that everyone should [or must] agree with you – and you then begin to attack them personally, including the deletion of their posts.
