Chick-Fil-A CEO Dan Cathy says white people should find black strangers, go up to them, and shine their shoes to show repentance for their sins of racism. He once bought 1,500 shoe brushes for his employees to shine strangers’ shoes to exhibit their remorse for racism, Cathy said Sunday during a panel discussion at Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia. By shining shoes, white Americans can express shame, embarrassment, humility and contrition, Cathy said. “Maybe, we need to give them a hug, too,” he added, providing a demonstration to Christian Rapper Lecrae: “I invite folks just to put some words to action here and if we need to find somebody that needs to have their shoes shined, we need to just go right on over and shine their shoes.” “Whether they got tennis shoes on or not — maybe they got sandals on — it really doesn’t matter. But, there’s a time in which we need to have some personal action here. Maybe we need to give them a hug, too. “I bought about 1,500 of these [brushes] and I gave them to all our Chick-Fil-A operators and staff a number of years ago.” “So, any expressions of a contrite heart, of a sense of humility, a sense of shame, a sense of embarrassment begat with an apologetic heart — I think that’s what our world needs to hear today.”

Can you even put a shine on orange basketball clown shoes? Next, I'm sure this cowering leftist simp will say we also need to walk up to homosexuals to polish their shoes and their knobs. He's calling his customers and employees racists. Good move, man. I'm 80 miles away from the nearest CFA and taught myself how to clone their signature product at home a few years ago, so it's not too likely I'll be going out of my way to spend my money there again anytime soon. This guy has made stupid comments before, so how long until franchisees start to sue for harming their investments?
He was the darling of conservatives for a while there - Christian, closed on Sundays, the guy is pro life, against gay marriage, etc. Took a lot of heat back in 2013 when a crazed leftist loon shot up the Family Research Council because they were against queers getting married. But now this crap? Liberals will still boycott CFA, and now so will conservatives.
Government is in the last resort the employment of armed men, of policemen, gendarmes, soldiers, prison guards, and hangmen. What "sins of racism"? Sorry, I don't see any. If he's speaking in generalities, then give me a general example or two of white racism. Can anyone?

Stopped donating to Salvation Army & Samaritans' Purse etc. and now this crap. Leftists already hate the chain, now they're going to lose stalwart supporters. Maybe they'll have the opportunity to be closed every day instead of just Sunday now.

Here's the thing. What you experienced was prejudice, not racism. Now it would be racism if a black refused to hire you, paid you less, refused to serve you at a restaurant, refused to cut your hair, etc. because you were white. That's racism and it's against the law. Prejudice exists on both sides and there ain't no law that will eliminate it. Nor would we want such a law. Meaning, if we continue to call "prejudice" racism, then racism will never go away.
Without him giving the facts, WWG1WWA could have experienced either prejudice; racism or racial discrimination. Reason: There are no laws against prejudice or racism, while there are laws against racial discrimination. Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits racial discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin.
So is that what this is all about -- blacks looting, rioting, burning, assaulting because whites think they're superior? Your examples of racial discrimination are correct, but blacks can't be referring to those acts because they don't exist anymore. In my opinion, whites treat blacks differently because of what they've seen, read, or heard of their behavior. That treatment is based on prejudice, not some feeling of superiority. And the only way to end prejudice is for blacks to change their behavior.
I am in complete agreement …
And should only restrict government. It should not apply to private businesses or individuals. Might that result in discrimination? Google "cancel culture" and you tell me.

The essential feature of government is the enforcement of its decrees by beating, killing, and imprisoning.
Those who are asking for more government interference are asking ultimately for more compulsion and less freedom.
