United States News Title: Black Amazon driver handcuffed after parking wrong way on street, Michigan video shows Police arrested a black Amazon driver after he parked the wrong way on a street while delivering a package, Michigan video shows. Facebook Live video shows a Warren, Michigan, police officer keeping the driver on the ground as more officers arrive at the scene Tuesday afternoon. The mans van was parked in the wrong direction on the side of the street where he was delivering the package. Ive got my lights on, the driver says on the video. Im delivering to her! Jim Michaels, who ordered the package, says the officer was aggressive in taking the driver to the ground, WXYZ reported. He was aggressive taking him down to the ground, Michaels told the news outlet. It was so ridiculous over a traffic offense. Warren Police Commissioner Bill Dwyer is recommending felony resisting arrest, failing to obey a lawful command and failure to produce a drivers license charges against the Amazon driver, WJBK reported. Its critical the public understands to not put all police officers and paint them with a broad brush that theyre bad officers, Dwyer said at a Wednesday news conference, according to the news outlet. Dwyer said the officer asked for the drivers license 11 times as the situation escalated, WJBK reported. The officer then reaches for the drivers arms but he pulls away, saying he will show him a license, the news outlet reported. That did not stop the arrest. Video shows four police officers take the handcuffed driver to a vehicle and drive away. Warren Mayor Jim Fouts posted on Facebook that any type of aggressive behavior is not tolerated and he was upset one individual could possibly besmirch the fine reputation of Warren police officers. Amazon says it will investigate the case and support the driver, Business Insider reported. Amazon Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations Dave Clark tweeted Wednesday that the video was shocking and unacceptable. We see what others see in this video, and its unacceptable, Amazon told Business Insider. We expect a swift investigation and full accountability for those involved. Amazon will deploy all necessary resources to investigate the matter with our Delivery Service Provider, as well as to represent and support the driver.
Poster Comment: As the video shows, residents are pleading with the officer to leave the kid alone. The driver was so small, that they were concerned for his safety as the officer twice his size held him down on the ground. Neighbors also said he was a very nice man and went above and beyond his duties as an Amazon driver. And he was so polite to my neighbor, he offered to put it on the chair for her because it was heavy, said neighbor Geri Cheatham. But seconds later, here comes a Warren cop just doing his job and attacking a man for allegedly parking on the wrong side of the road in a neighborhood. The horror. It was ridiculous for one little kid that was the size of me, Cheatham said. From when my sister walked in the house and then walked back out, the cop had him on the ground and cuffed and was calling for back-up, said witness Jim Michaels. Because he parked backwards, another witness says on video. Despite repeated pleas from neighbors, the cops continued holding him down, and eventually hauled him off. Showing how arbitrary the stop was in the first place, after kidnapping the young man, police left his Amazon delivery truck parked in the same spot the wrong way. We, several of the neighbors, spoke with the officer saying the kid hasnt done anything and the cop was like well, He was parked the wrong way, Michaels said. He was scared. He was scared. I dont blame him. It could have gotten out of control totally, Cheatham said.

Here we go again -- a black driver turning a simple traffic stop into a felony. Then everyone blames the cop. We are indeed living in Bizarro World.
