Giuliani Promises ‘Evidence’ of Obama Administration Interference in Ukraine By Zachary Stieber December 6, 2019 President Donald Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani promised “evidence” that former Vice President Joe Biden and other Obama administration officials “contributed to the increased level of corruption in Ukraine in 2014 and 2016.” Giuliani made the statement as he travels in Ukraine, meeting with lawmakers who have said that Biden’s son Hunter Biden obtained money stolen from Ukranian taxpayers. Giuliani said that the House Democrat’s impeachment inquiry “is a FARCE” in part because Trump conversation with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky about uncovering corruption in the country “was based on compelling evidence of criminal conduct by then VP Biden, in 2016, that has not been resolved and until it is will be a major obstacle to the US assisting Ukraine with its anti-corruption reforms.” “The American people will learn that Biden & other Obama administration officials, contributed to the increased level of corruption in Ukraine between 2014 to 2016. Giuliani on Friday issued several more statements, including one claiming that “the Accounts Chamber in Ukraine found an alleged misuse of $5.3B in U.S. funds during the Obama administration while Biden was ‘Point Man.’ Obama embassy urged Ukrainian police NOT to investigate!” “Much of the $5.3B in US Aid Ukraine reported as misused was given to the embassy’s favored NGO’s. At the time Yovanovitch, witness for the Witchunt, was the Amb. That embassy directed the police not to investigate,” he said in another message, referring to former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch. He accused President Barack Obama of forgetting about article 2, section 3 of the U.S. Constitution. The comments came as Giuliani met with Andriy Telizhenko, a Ukranian political consultant who used to advise the deputy prime minister, Ukranian lawmaker Andriy Derkach, and other current and former Ukranian officials, including former prosecutor general Viktor Shokin, who was ousted after Biden pressured Ukranian leadership in 2016. Biden bragged at a Council of Foreign Relations event last year that he forced Shokin out. “I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money. Well, son of a [expletive]. He got fired,” he said. Shokin was probing Burisma, an employer of Biden’s son Hunter Biden, when he resigned. His replacement closed the case, which is under review by Ukraine’s current top prosecutor. Telizhenko told One America News recently: “There’s a big story happening here in America NOT being told by the mass media on what really happened behind the scenes starting from the prosecutor’s office in Ukraine with an investigation to Burisma case and Hunter Biden.” Telizhenko said on Twitter that Giuliani left Ukraine on Dec. 6. Giuliani made the allegations against the Obama administration hours before House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), asked about the lawyer at a CNN town hall, said that she doesn’t “have time to keep track” of him. “But I do think it is further indication of the arrogance of it all, that every authority has said there is no truth to the rumor that the Ukrainians were instrumental in interfering in our election,” she said. She then criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, who she said welcomes what’s happening. “Putin makes a joke of it. He says, ‘Oh, they’re blaming it on Ukraine, they took it off of me.’ But all roads lead to Putin. This is about Putin, right from Putin, in Russia, in Moscow, Putin’s desk, the disruption of our elections but not only ours. They want to undermine democracy all around the world.
