"I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago." (Sarah Palin,Dec 2009) ************************************ DID Palin say or write these things or not? (Me) I don't know or F ing care. I got it in a email that didn't mention the source, and I was convinced it was photos from the 50's.
BTW,anybody notice how small the houses were back then? 1200 square feet was considered to a big house. Now everybody thinks they NEED 3,000 square feet to live. IMHO,this is the prime reason so many women think they "have" to work today. They and their husbands are making payments on houses "too big" for them in every sense of the word, and this goal is now more important than raising their children.
Too many Americans are just convinced that they have a right AND a obligation to live beyond their means.
The first rule of economics you need to teach your children is "It doesn't matter how much you make. What matters is how much it takes."

We have way to much 'house' but when we bought it my father in law lived with us. When he passed away four years later, we were pretty much 'locked in'.
I think there's more to it than 'big houses' sneaky. gymn shoes used to cost what...20 bucks? Now its 100.
