Rep.Tulsi Gabbard, D-H.I. accused Hillary Clinton "and her proxies" of starting a "smear campaign that has been waged against me and my candidacy and my campaign from the very first day that we began," pushing back on accusations that she is a "Russian asset." "This smear campaign is coming from people like Hillary Clinton and her proxies, the foreign policy establishment, the military industrial complex, who obviously feel threatened by my message and by my campaign because they know that they can't control me," she told an NBC reporter on Saturday. When asked if she would disavow support from foreign entities, including an official Twitter account of the Russian Embassy who has circulated support for the candidate online, in order to quell American fear of foreign interference in elections, Gabbard responded: "This is not about Russia." "Foreign interference in our election is not a good thing. But what we're seeing, this is not about Russia," she said. "I don't control them. I don't control what anyone else says or does. All I can do is focus on the message that I am bringing to this campaign," she added. In a podcast with former Obama adviser David Plouffe, Clinton said she wasn't "making any predictions, but [she thinks Russians] have got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate." "She's the favorite of the Russians" she added, saying they "have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far." Gabbard lashed out at Clinton on Twitter Friday calling her the "queen of warmongers [and the] embodiment of corruption" in response to the allegations. She also told Fox News' Tucker Carlson on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" that the former Secretary of State is waging a smear campaign against her because "she knows she can't control me." She accused Clinton of having "blood on her hands" after the Iraq war she "championed." "Their blood is on her hands. That's why she's smearing my character and trying to undermine my campaign," Gabbard said. Gabbard received an outpouring of support from fellow 2020 Democratic candidates including Marianne Williamson, Andrew Yang and Beto O'Rourke. Yang wrote in a tweet: "Tulsi Gabbard deserves much more respect and thanks than this. She literally just got back from serving our country abroad." Williamson chimed in: "The Democratic establishment has got to stop smearing women it finds inconvenient!" Adding, "the character assassination of women who don't toe the party line will backfire." "You deserve respect and you have mine," she told Gabbard. Meanwhile, New Jersey Senator Cory Booker posted a wide-eyed gif reacting to Gabbard's rebuttal. O'Rourke, a former Texas congressman, defended Gabbard as well telling reporters "Tulsi is not being groomed by anyone. She is her own person. Obviously has served this country, continues to serve this country in uniform, in Congress, as a candidate for presidency so I think those facts speak for themselves." Clinton has since backed out of a speaking appearance at Fortune's Most Powerful Women Summit, where Gabbard was scheduled to speak.

Conservatives need to stop giving Gabbard face time! I've no doubt that she is getting Republican attention to syphon off votes for PDJT. Bubbette! is just the "gift" that "keeps on giving",ain't she? Given her ego it's hard to believe she is once again going to run for president purely because of all the campaign cash and payoffs she would receive,and not because her massive ego tells her she "deserves to be President,and people really,really like you1" And of course,Bubba doesn't care as long as she stays busy enough she has no free time and has to leave him alone.
In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
FWIW,I agree. She is also playing the race card by claiming she is half-Polynesian. Hell,she is whiter than Chelsea Clinton,and if you have seen the bikini photos of her,she ain't what anyone would call "hefty".

Reparations: No. Better social services, yes. Medicare for all: An idea whose time has come. Gun grabber: They never grab the guns, and they never secure them. carnage is in our national DNA. Hardcore Progressive: Well, some progressive things, like 40 hour work weeks, weekends, workers comp, unemployment benefits, Social Security, Medicare, women's rights, equal rights for minorities are good things. And there are hardcore Regressives who would roll all of that back. Progressivism has a mixed record, but on the big things it has been overall positive.

V, I do not understand your support for Medicare for all. Medicare is a Trust. It isn't welfare. Workers pay into that Trust with every paycheck they earn. It exists for them, not the general public. Allowing the Democrats to get away with redefining it as Welfare is sacrilegious. It is NOT welfare. Therefore it is NOT open to everyone. If you desire such, then work to create a new program for others. DO NOT TAMPER with SS Medicare. It is not welfare.
Apparently Tulsi scared Hillary away from a woman’s conference in DC. Good.
Trump should be so lucky that Gabbard would run as a Green Party candidate for prez. She'd siphon off as many Dem votes in key states - especially Wisconsin and Minnesota and Pennsylvania - as Jill Stein did in 2016, maybe even more than Stein had. Of course, the Dems would be very angry if she did that. Usually a Dem will only run for the Green nomination if they lost a House seat and have been told the Dem party won't fund them any more. Cynthia McKinney ran as the Green nominee after Georgia voters laughed her out of office.
It is, by any definition, welfare. People like to pretend that it isn't by thinking it is some magical interest-bearing account they paid into all of their lives and that they finally get it back. It's not true. It is welfare, plain and simple. Paid out of the general treasury by the taxes on working people. It isn't insurance. It isn't an investment. And you're not getting back what you paid into it. It's a welfare program for old people, just as SSDI is a welfare program for the disabled, whether they ever worked or not. They call it SSDI (Social Security Disability Insurance) but it is not an insurance program at all. It is just another lifelong welfare program and is not even tracked closely for whether its recipients are actually disabled. You might have noticed reports of people who got SSDI during the 0bama years decided to return to the workforce. Turns out that very few of them were disabled after all.
Tulsi, (where her parents came up with that one is weird) is just another baby- killing Democrat-Communist Party member who 'wants to make things better.' Better than what? She just talks in a more civilized tone.
Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.
