Listening to him, I think he states things as well as I could have expected to. And he makes a good point. Does not the Book of Revelations state that stars will fall from the sky to the earth? If you take it literally, then.... you must believe either the stars have to be small enough to do something like that, or .... something was lost in the translation to English?
Does not the Book of Revelations state that stars will fall from the sky to the earth? If you take it literally, then.... you must believe either the stars have to be small enough to do something like that, or .... something was lost in the translation to English? DeGrasse makes the point Unbelievers and naysayers of the Bible and God's Word would make. Yes, Revelation *does* state that paraphrasing, "the stars WILL fall from the sky to the earth." Believers have no reason to believe God is lying, or that the interpretation or "translation" is erroneous. The "Lights" within the Firmament ARE the Stars. But because "Science" and deGrasse-Tyson have sold their "Stars-are-unfathomly-HUGE!" anti-God account (as well as the unfathomable distances of "millions of Light Years," there is the tendency to dismiss Scripture as either "Fairy Tales," parables," or metaphors. Genesis 1:14 (KJV): "Then God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years" Revelation, 6:12-14 (Berean Study Bible): "And when I saw the Lamb open the sixth seal, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black like sackcloth of goat hair, and the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth, like unripe figs dropping from a tree shaken by a great wind. The sky receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved from its place.
We see God and he says "Don't make me come down there". (might have been a far side cartoon)
