Donald Trump has more numbers to brag about -- his Trump Straws are selling like hotcakes, quickly approaching $1 million in sales ... and MAGA hats have reached a milestone. Sources with the President's campaign tell TMZ ... sales for the straws -- which come in a 10-pack for $15 and are meant to own the libs -- have surpassed $850,000. We're told they're by far the most popular item right now on Trump's online shop. As you can see ... the red plastic straws come laser engraved with "Trump" branding, and are advertised as reusable, recyclable and made in the U.S. of A. They're also touted as superior to "liberal paper straws." While straws are the current hot purchase among Trump supporters, the red MAGA hat is still going strong on the shop at #2 ... and just passed 1 million units sold. It's unclear how many Kanye's responsible for, but either way -- at 25 bucks a pop -- that means the hat has generated $25 mil for the campaign to date ... minus the cost of production, obviously. Trump's team was pushing both products Friday ... the same day as Berlin's "climate strike" and a day before the UN Climate Action Summit will take place in NYC. WANT A FREE #MAGA HAT?

Campaign sources for POTUS tell us he's focused on getting California Republicans engaged to try to win back 7 House seats they lost in 2018. As for winning California in 2020, he shouldn't hold his breath. (1 image) Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest
#2. To: WWG1WWA (#1) (Edited) That straw design is pure brilliance. Do you think our glorious prez designed it all by himself or did he brink Ivana in to consult on the font selection? Those things are a bargain at only $1.50 each! It does occur to me that pricing online merchandise at $15 for 10 straws that cost only 10¢ to make is an easy-peasy way for Trump to sell ultra-cheap campaign gear for a high price, pushing aside all donor campaign limits. What's that, Sheldon Adelson just called and said he wants a million packs of Trump straws at $15 apiece which will just happen to put $15 million in Trump's campaign coffers? Adelson already maxed out his $2800 personal donation to Trump's 2020 primary and re-election campaign and he maxed out his donation of $5,000 to the party committee so this is a nice way for Sheldon to throw more money directly in Trump's pocket legally. Oh, yeah, and the Saudis and others can legally buy this campaign gear too even though they can't donate to federal elections. Nice. Here's an FEC donor table showing the allowed limits:
Notice they don't mention any limits on how many vastly overpriced caps and drinking straws you can buy from Trump or any other candidate. Here's the Trump business plan for campaign gear merchandising:
#3. To: Tooconservative (#2) The system reeks, but they've been doing it for years. I'm not a supporter of PACS, Foundations, etc. Nor book sales, I might add. All are allowed with the specific purpose to skirt the laws. I was a tad disappointed with the straws. I think his signature would be far better than a mere Trump stamp.
#4. To: WWG1WWA (#3) I was a tad disappointed with the straws. I think his signature would be far better than a mere Trump stamp. Don't worry, he'll offer a 10-pack of signed straws next year for a bargain price of $25. We'll see another round of straw sales from Trump next year, I think. He's made so much off the first batch that he'll double-down and offer pricier ones in 2020.
