The agent for Kurt Warner says the Arizona Cardinals quarterback will hold a news conference Friday to announce whether he will retire from the game. Mark Bartelstein, in an interview Wednesday, said the announcement will be made at the Cardinals' training facility in Tempe. Bartelstein declined to reveal Warner's decision. Warner, 38, who has led two franchises to the Super Bowl and one to the NFL title, has strongly considered retirement in the wake of a season that saw him miss a game with a concussion. Jaguars Jacksonville has fired defensive line coach Ted Monachino and replaced him with Joe Cullen, who previously coached in Detroit, where he was charged with indecent and obscene conduct after going through a fast-food restaurant's drive-through lane naked. Elsewhere The switches from Hawaii to Miami and to the weekend before the Super Bowl appears to have paid off for Pro Bowl ticket sales. The league expects a sellout, and the crowd of more than 70,000 will be the largest for a Pro Bowl since 1959 in Los Angeles. ... However, NFL Players Association President and Titans center Kevin Mawae expressed frustration with the league changing the game's location and positioning it before Super Bowl.
