It's not exactly the Wilbury's but I like this one.

Ed Sullivan, 1968. From the same album as Crimson & Clover, another hit. Love beads, Nehru threads, Edwardian haircuts...and Tommy freakin' James. LOL

One of the earliest music videos, almost 15 years before MTV. In the years following, you started to see more groups trying to make some kind of music videos but this was a very early one.

The subject of the song, Mony, was actually just a name on a building that Tommy James could see from his NYC apartment. The building belonged to the Mutual Of New York insurance company.

Nice video. I hadn't seen it before. I originally heard that song when Billy Idol covered it.

Here is another one from the Traveling Wilburys you probably haven't heard before.

I've been rockin' that song since it was a new release, but never stopped to think of where "Mony" came from - thanks!

Tweeter's one of my favorite Wilbury songs; so unique, like listening to an obscure Zevon track.

Too many of these guys are dead, and not nearly enough Clintons. What's the deal there?

It's been remodeled a few times and the signage is no longer on the building but this is how the building looked when Tommy James saw it. This still is from the movie Midnight Cowboy. Wiki mentions the connection of the building to both the song and the movie.
