LEFT WING LOONS Title: Adam Schitt Threatens “Enforcement Action” Against Attorney General Barr Proving that Democrats don’t know when to leave well enough alone, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff announced this week that his committee will convene to consider what type of “enforcement action” they might bring against Attorney General William Barr. Frustrated and irate over Barr’s refusal to respond to a subpoena demanding the unredacted Mueller report, Democrats are wildly casting about for something they can do to show the country they are not the ineffective wimps they appear to be. Instead of making threats that scare absolutely no one, though, Schiff should wake up and listen to what the Justice Department is offering. Just the day before Schiff made his tiresome announcement, the DOJ offered to let all members of the Intelligence Committee review a version of the report with fewer redactions than the one currently circulating. The panel would get two copies of the report, and they would be expected to keep those documents in a secure space. They would be allowed to take notes and discuss the report amongst themselves. It’s a fair compromise that reduces the risk of exposing sources and methods to the public, but that didn’t stop Schiff from throwing a temper tantrum on Thursday. “The deadline came and went without the production of a single document,” Schiff whined. “It raises profound questions about whether the department has any intention to honor its legal obligations.” Eh, not that profound. Not when this is so clearly a stunt show for the benefit of the 2020 election. “It is certainly my sense that this is a top-down instruction from the president to stonewall all congressional requests, no matter how reasonable,” Schiff said. No matter how…no matter how reasonable? Are you serious right now? Mr. Schiff, with all due respect, you should have resigned from the House Intelligence Committee the very instant the Mueller report came out. It was in that instant that you were exposed as a fraud and a liar. It was in that instant that the American people saw with their own eyes how many lies you’ve been telling Rachel Maddow, CNN, and the rest of the liberal media for months. You haven’t a shred of credibility left, and every moment Nancy Pelosi allows you to remain in charge of anything more significant than the official House clock is a moment that Congress declines into disgrace. “Regrettably, the department’s unacceptable position and failure to comply with the committee’s subpoena, despite its unequivocal constitutional and statutory obligations, leaves the committee no choice but to initiate action next week to enforce the subpoena,” Schiff wrote. We’re sure that Trump and Barr are shaking in their boots.
