United States News Title: Cops Break Into Innocent Man’s Home, Hold Him at Gunpoint, Force K-9 to Shred Him Albuquerque, NM All too often we hear the police state apologist crowd tell those who advocate for police accountability that if people dont do anything wrong, they have nothing to worry about. However, all too often, this is proven wrong as entirely innocent people are beaten, shot, or killed by cops and they did nothing wrong. As the following case illustrates, being entirely innocent is no defense from police kicking in your door and forcing their K-9 to tear you to shreds. Dan Lucero had committed no crime. He had harmed no one and was sitting in his own living room when police kicked in his door, held him at gunpoint and forced their K-9 to maul him. According to police, they were at Luceros home to help him because his mother had called them and asked them to conduct a welfare check. We arent here to hurt you, an officer is heard saying in the video. I assure you of that. However, that officer was lying through his teeth and hurt him, they did. When police showed up at Luceros apartment that night to help him, no one answered the door. Lucero couldve been sleeping, but police did not care. After waiting just two minutes, the officers couldnt wait any longer so to help Lucero, they drew their guns, kicked in his door and sicced their K-9 on him. The resultant video from the officers body cameras is horrifying to watch. Lucero had committed no crime and was in his own home, yet he was being torn to shreds by a police K-9 as cops pointed guns at his head. In this case, we dont have any threat to officers, to citizens, to anybody, said Luceros attorney, Matt Coyte. The man is talking to them. You should respond with conversation, not with force at all. However, cops had no intentions of talking and as their K-9 tore into Lucero, they simply barked orders at him and put him in handcuffs. As Lucero screams out in agony as the K-9 tears chunks of flesh from his leg, the cops repeatedly tell him to be quiet. We wonder if the roles were reversed and the cops were the ones getting torn to shreds by the K-9, if they could be quiet? After Lucero was savagely attacked, police had absolutely nothing to charge him with. He was then rushed to the trauma center at the hospital to treat the multiple massive gashes on his leg. They need to reassess use of force, among all officers, in particular Mr. Aguilar, Coyte said of the K-9 officer who forced his dog to maul Lucero. We agree. Sadly, however, that will not be the case as this department has a history of doing this to people. Its not an isolated incident, Coyte said. It was done on purpose and thats a problem. All too often in this country, police are called out to check on the health of an individual who may be physically or mentally troubled. And, all too often, instead of providing that person with help, police show up and hurt, arrest, or even kill them. This process is known as a welfare check and as the above video illustrates, the idea of American police officerswho are trained to see every situation as a potentially deadly encounterhelping people, is horrifying. Luckily for Lucero, he escaped with his life. Others, however, have not been so lucky. As TFTP reported last year, former star of the hit show ER, Vanessa Marquez, 49, hadnt harmed anyone when police showed up at her apartment to conduct a welfare check. The landlord had simply become concerned that she may have fallen ill and wasnt taking care of herself, so he called police for help. Sadly, this help came in the form of government issued bullets. Adding to the disturbing nature of this call for help was the fact that according to Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Lt. Joe Mendoza, when police arrived at the apartment of Marquez that afternoon, she was having a seizure. It appeared that the female was gravely disabled, Mendoza said. But police became scared and put several bullets in her. Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top Page Up Full Thread Page Down Bottom/Latest

saying that he might be suicidal. The story omitted that. "no one answered the door. Lucero couldve been sleeping ..." Nope. He was standing in the kitchen, listening to police knock on the door for 2-1/2 minutes. "kicked in his door and sicced their K-9 on him." They told the potential suicide to lie down on the floor, multiple times, and he refused.
Surprise, surprise. Deckhard again.
Liberals are like Slinkys. They're good for nothing, but somehow they bring a smile to your face as you shove them down the stairs.
