United States News Title: Tucker Carlson and Thoughtcrime According to former news anchor Sam Donaldson, the thoughts inside your head and those posted on social media and the web will take down America. Donaldson believes thought and the natural right to speak, publish, or post such thoughts is a crime.
Media Matters (operated by Democrat partisan David Brock) scoured the internet’s dark basement corners and came up with an interview where Fox’s Tucker Carlson said hurtful and unkind things about women and homosexuals back in 2006. For progressives, Carlson’s decade-plus old sin against Identity is intolerable. They angrily insist his thoughtcrime should result in the cancellation of his show, the destruction of his career, and possibly more Antifa terrorists trespassing on his private property and frightening his family with threats of violence. It was George Soros who initiated the furious Democrat “War on Fox.” Back in 2010, Soros donated a million dollars to Media Matters, specifically to go after Fox. Prior to Soros’ influx of cash, Media Matters made a name for itself by having Don Imus fired from CBS and MSNBC for his insensitivity toward black female basketball players. It also went after Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, and Laura Schlessinger for thoughtcrimes they supposedly committed. I don’t agree with a lot of what the above-mentioned talking heads say. Despite this, I don’t want to shut down Fox. I’m not fond of Rush Limbaugh, but I don’t think he should be taken off the air for saying things I disagree with. O’Reilly’s demand in 2003 that critics of Bush’s wars “shut up” was certainly reprehensible. O’Reilly has the right to speak, especially if people disagree with him—that’s what the First Amendment (now on life support) is all about. The effort to shut down speech is not about protecting liberals from the perceived “hatred” and “violence” of words. It’s about eliminating opposition to their agenda. Freedom of speech allows an individual to participate in the political process (corrupted as it is) and engage in debate with his or her fellow citizens. Characterizing the opposition as Nazi, fascist, racist, homophobic, etc. is part of a concerted effort to silence those opposed to an authoritarian left. They would like nothing more than to strip every “deplorable” (not leftist or Democrat) of the right to speak and contribute to the political argument, thus ensuring their silence and powerlessness. It’s ironic leftists denounce their political enemies as fascist. The fascists in Germany not only shut down speech, but had those speaking out against fascism imprisoned, tortured, and executed. Hitler and the Nazis were, after all, socialists. Nazi is an abbreviation for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (German Nationalist Socialist Workers Party). This is such a bullshit article - like so many others you post - that it is no wonder there have been no comments made on the thread.
