Remember that worldly "STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS" guy in the TV Dos Equiis beer commercial? He was that older guy guy with the tan and silver beard who was portrayed as having figured it all out in life -- women, wine, wealth, etc.
It turns out he's not who you thought he was; And neither was his message.

Interesting video. It was pretty obvious when these ads first came out that "The Most Interesting Man In The World" was not selling just beer, but then again IMO, I would say that a lot of ads are selling the same thing - sex.

Yep, obviously "Sex". But psychologically even further beyond. There's some real heavy programming at work here as this commercial continued to run repeatedly.
Here's some food for thought: One wonders whether 'Dos Equiis' beer was ever intended to promote "beer."
