Judge blocks distribution of 3D-printed gun blueprints until case is resolved

By Eric Levenson and Keith Allen, CNN

Updated 7:41 PM ET, Mon August 27, 2018

(CNN)A federal judge in Seattle granted a motion for a preliminary injunction on Monday that blocks a Texas man from releasing downloadable blueprints for 3D-printed guns until the litigation is resolved, according to court documents obtained by CNN.

Judge Robert S. Lasnik of the US District Court for Western Washington extended an earlier temporary restraining order, which will remain in place until the case is resolved, the court documents state.

"The court finds that the irreparable burdens on the private defendants' First Amendment rights are dwarfed by the irreparable harms the states are likely to suffer if the existing restrictions are withdrawn and that, overall, the public interest strongly supports maintaining the status quo through the pendency of this litigation," Lasnik wrote in the ruling.

It's hilarious that some black-robed scumbag actually thinks his diktat is going to stop anyone from distributing these blueprints.

No more so than the law prevents you from taking a gun and knocking over the corner liquor store. You are only informed that if you get caught breaking the law, there may be consequences.

You arguments are hilarious.

Bad laws are meant to be broken.

Bad laws are meant to be broken.

That’s how you know we live in the freest society on planet earth... your ability to break any law there is.

Just remember, if the USSC hasn’t ruled that a particular law is “bad”, that you willingly violated because you feel the law is bad, you’ll have lots of time in a 5X10 cell, to reflect on how important your little peon opinions are.

And that’s why we are free... because just letting anyone decide what’s good or bad, and everyone out breaking laws they feel are bad, with no recourse, is anarchy. There is no freedom in an anarchy.

Bad laws = unconstitutional laws.

We have no duty to honor unconstitutional laws.

The owner of a Texas company that makes untraceable 3D-printed guns said Tuesday that he has begun selling the blueprints through his website to anyone who wants to make one, despite a federal court order barring him from posting the plans online.

Does Cody Wilson belong in jail for refusing to submit to an unconstitutional decree made by black-robed tyrants?
