MANCHESTER, N.H. Democratic 1st Congressional District candidate Maura Sullivan on Monday became the first New Hampshire candidate of the 2018 election cycle to announce a television advertising campaign.
Sullivan on Tuesday will release two introductory ads detailing her background as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and her service in former President Barack Obamas administration in the veterans affairs and defense departments. The ads also touch on several key issues, including family leave, womens health, veterans, opioid abuse, guns and immigration.
The campaign of one of Sullivan's 10 Democratic congressional primary rivals, Executive Councilor Chris Pappas, told WMUR on Monday afternoon that it will go on the air with an ad of its own, also on Tuesday.

Sanborn's second quarter campaign finance report on file with the Federal Election Commission shows that Sanborn raised $78,981 and loaned his campaign $25,000. The report shows that he had $104,031 on hand as of June 30. No expenditures are listed.
All of Sanborn's contributions are from individuals. There are no political action committee contributions.
