Title: LOOK WHAT STATUE JUST WENT UP IN ARKANSAS

Oh geez, not another one of these cluster foxtrots dumped on the board again.

NOTHING "went up" in Arkansas. The liberal democrat traveling goat circus came and went two days before this crap was posted on this board.

Liberals Unveil Satanic Statue At Arkansas State Capitol

August 19, 2018
by Donn Marten

God-hating leftists have long been on an unholy jihad to banish all vestiges of Christianity from the public square and are now turning to Satanic forces for help.

First to address the issue of placing the Ten Commandments on State land, that does not violate the establishment clause of the Constitution, or any Arkansas state law. The controlling U.S. Supreme Court case is Van Orden v Perry, 545 U.S. 677 (2005).

VAN ORDEN v. PERRY, in his official capacity as GOVERNOR OF TEXAS and CHAIRMAN, STATE PRESERVATION BOARD, et al.

CERTIORARI TO THE UNITED STATES COURT OF APPEALS FOR THE FIFTH CIRCUIT

No. 03–1500.

Argued March 2, 2005—Decided June 27, 2005

Among the 21 historical markers and 17 monuments surrounding the Texas State Capitol is a 6-foot-high monolith inscribed with the Ten Commandments. The legislative record illustrates that, after accepting the monument from the Fraternal Order of Eagles—a national social, civic, and patriotic organization—the State selected a site for it based on the recommendation of the state organization that maintains the capitol grounds. Petitioner, an Austin resident who encounters the monument during his frequent visits to those grounds, brought this 42 U. S. C. § 1983 suit seeking a declaration that the monument’s placement violates the First Amendment’s Establishment Clause and an injunction requiring its removal. Holding that the monument did not contravene the Clause, the District Court found that the State had a valid secular purpose in recognizing and commending the Eagles for their efforts to reduce juvenile delinquency, and that a reasonable observer, mindful of history, purpose, and context, would not conclude that this passive monument conveyed the message that the State endorsed religion. The Fifth Circuit affirmed.

Held: The judgment is affirmed.

The applicable Arkansas State law authorizing the installation of the Ten Commandments is AR Code § 22-3-221 (2017).

2017 Arkansas Code
Title 22 - Public Property
Chapter 3 - Public Buildings and Other Facilities
Subchapter 2 - Capitol Building and Grounds Generally
§ 22-3-221. Ten Commandments Monument Display Act
Universal Citation: AR Code § 22-3-221 (2017)

(a) This section shall be known and may be cited as the "Ten Commandments Monument Display Act".

(b) (1) The Secretary of State shall permit and arrange for the placement on the State Capitol grounds of a suitable monument commemorating the Ten Commandments and containing the following text, which was displayed on the monument declared constitutional in Van Orden v. Perry, 545 U.S. 677 (2005):

"The Ten Commandments

I AM the LORD thy God.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Thou shalt not make to thyself any graven images.

Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain.

Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Honor thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

Thou shalt not kill.

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his cattle, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.".

(2)

(A) The Secretary of State shall arrange for the monument to be designed, constructed, and placed on the State Capitol grounds by private entities at no expense to the State of Arkansas.

(B) The monument shall be placed on the State Capitol grounds where there are other monuments.

(3) The Secretary of State shall:

(A) Approve the design and site selection for the monument under this subsection; and

(B) Arrange a suitable time for its placement.

(4)

(A) Before approving the design and site selection for the monument under this subsection, the Secretary of State shall consult the Capitol Arts and Grounds Commission and obtain the commission's views on design and site selection.

(B) The monument under this subsection shall be exempt from § 22-3-301 et seq. and § 22-3-501 et seq.

(c) In the event that the legality or constitutionality of the monument under subsection (b) of this section is challenged in a court of law, the Attorney General may:

(1) Prepare and present a legal defense of the monument; or

(2)

(A) Request that Liberty Legal Institute prepare and present a legal defense of the monument.

(B) A request that Liberty Legal Institute prepare and present a legal defense of the monument shall not be subject to § 25-16-702.

(d) The placement of the monument under this section shall not be construed to mean that the State of Arkansas favors any particular religion or denomination over others.

As for why the the liberal democrat traveling goat circus cannot install their pet goat, Arkansas State law requires that any monument to be placed on the state capitol grounds requires legislative sponsorship.

"Cold day in hell": Arkansas lawmaker irked by Satanic Temple statue display at rally

[excerpt]

The monument arrived on a flatbed truck and was unveiled at the bottom of the capitol steps, CBS affiliate KTHV reports. Meanwhile, the Ten Commandments stood behind a screened fence surrounded by caution tape.

The statue of Baphomet can't be installed under a 2017 state law that requires legislative sponsorship for consideration of any monument. The Satanist group removed the statue later Thursday.

The liberal democrat traveling goat circus has its origin in Detroit, Michigan where the nutballs unveiled their trans goat in 2014 with the female breasts trimmed off and two children added to make the image more family friendy.

The original intent was to take the liberal democrat traveling goat circus on the road to Oklahoma in 2015, but Oklahoma decided to eliminate the display of the Ten Commandments and all symbols of religion. In search of a place to go, the liberal democrats settled upon Little Rock, Arkansas as their next target.

The Washington Post reported that,

“The Satan of Modern Satanism is a metaphorical icon for Enlightenment values,” the temple’s co-founder, Lucien Greaves, once wrote in an op-ed for The Post. “I identify nontheistically with a Miltonic Satan that defies all subjugation, exalts scientific inquiry and promotes Humanistic, pluralistic values.”

[I’m a founder of the Satanic Temple. Don’t blame Satan for white supremacy.]

In other words, the temple is a group of atheists, humanists and free-speech activists. They tend to use satanic imagery to mess with governments they feel are violating the separation of church and state.

Complicating timing was a man named Michael Tate Reed Who destroyed a Ten Commandments display in Oklahoma City in 2014, but was not prosecuted because he was a mental case. In 2017, a Ten Commandments monument was erected in Little Rock, Arkansas. In May 2018, that same Michael Tate Reed was acquitted of destroying the monument with his Dodge Dart as he lacked the capacity to follow the law at the time. Reed was prohibited from driving a vehicle, required to receive treatment from the Valley Behavioral Health System, and released into the custody of his mommie in Alma, Arkansas.

CNN reported, "Appearing before a judge in the Pulaski County District Court via video, Reed repeatedly said he didn't want to be represented. He also kept saying, "My Lord, my God," according to CNN affiliate KARK-TV."

And so, the liberal democrat traveling goat circus rolled into Little Rock Thursday on a flat bed truck, parked for a few hours, and rolled back out of Little Rock to an undisclosed destination. Michale Tate Reed has been prohibited from driving and is in the custody of his mommie.

That's exactly what happened; A few hours, then gone.

BUT ALL THAT MATTERS IS PERCEPTION. The buzz it created. And the "Mission".

MSM purposely widely reported this as a way of tweaking and triggering all the "Fundies", RCCs, and Believers of all sorts.

The Media know well that most people ONLY READ/WATCH HEADLINES. So what was this then? A PsyOp? A Stunt. An Endorsement? Conditioning the Pods?

What IS the actual symbolism and message being sent? /rhetorically

What's next?

Wheeling in a giant phallus statue into American cities for a few hours at a time? Certain beheaded Republicans? This is still subversive stuff.

2. Satan's kind of an attention hog

The thing about members of the Satanic Temple: They don't actually worship Satan. Or, at least, devil worship is not a requirement to join the organization based in Salem, Massachusetts.

"The Satan of Modern Satanism is a metaphorical icon for Enlightenment values," the temple's co-founder, Lucien Greaves, once wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post. "I identify nontheistically with a Miltonic Satan that defies all subjugation, exalts scientific inquiry and promotes Humanistic, pluralistic values."

In other words, the temple is a group of atheists, humanists and free-speech activists. They tend to use satanic imagery to mess with governments they feel are violating the separation of church and state.

They are just messing with people.

Basically, they conjured up the fugliest, most offensive monument they could imagine to be used in lawsuits to attempt to remove the Ten Commandments or similar items, or to force the government to accept their fugly monument to goat turds.

In other other words, Anarchists. (which indeed IS who/what Satan is.)
