A courageous truck strike in Iran, now in its tenth day, is threatening to bring down the Iranian government. The truck strike started on May 22 in 25 provinces and 60 cities across Iran. And it’s not just the truck strike that is spreading unrest; other strikes have already been created: In addition, it appears that taxi drivers have now joined the truckers in striking: To no one’s surprise, the mainstream media, which trumpeted the Obama nuclear deal with Iran which propped up the despotic Iranian government, is not reporting news of the truck strike, but there was one major organization that was paying attention: Poster Comment: Hopefully, posting Farsi tweets won't break our forum... Yeah I got a comment. The story is BS neocon propaganda. It's a fake CIA sponsored color revolution that's going nowhere. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.
If these reports are anywhere close to accurate in terms of how many are participating, this is a major crisis for Iran. And I don't think neocons done it. They aren't in power. Bolton and Pompeo are hawks but they were never part of the Kristol/Wolfowitz/PNAC neocon cabal that took us into Iraq for no good reason. Much of the IRGC is out of the country now, fighting in Syria. So the means of using the most loyal and best trained troops to quell these strikes is not readily at hand for the mullahs. This is the perfect time for the strikers to make their attempt.
No matter who you are,you can only push people to the point where they begin to realize they have nothing left to lose. That's the same point where YOU begin to lose.
In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
I admit it's a long shot but this is the most serious unrest we've seen since 0bama blew his chance early in his pres'nentcy. There is a major water shortage and ag problems as well. A lot of people are being displaced due to terrible mismanagement of water resources. One of the biggest lakes in the region is disappearing, a major source for irrigation of food crops. And Pompeo is openly accusing the mullahs of looting all the money 0bama gave them. And I think they did. You certainly can't see where they spent it or invested it, certainly nothing for ordinary people. But the citizens know they got the money and they know they spent none of it on the citizens or anything important to them. It is possible that Iran has quietly reached a tipping point like the one that brought Khomeini to power. I saw that the magistrates tried the usual head-cracking and union-busting by goons, starting five days ago. And the protests have just grown larger, like maybe they don't have the manpower or loyal troops to enforce their orders. This is why I think Iran could possibly be at a tipping point. If the end of the regime comes, it will be sudden and probably very violent.
They should get liberal democracy like in Libya to get plenty of water. If they are smart they will go for it and the rains will come.
You EU assholes were the ones who wrecked Libya. We were never on board with it. After you exhausted your puny military and had to retreat, you whined and begged for us to go finish the job for you, just as with Kosovo/Serbia some decades back. You like to pick fights you can't finish, then drag us into your messes. The Libya tragedy is 100% the fault of the EU.
