This is a bad idea. You forgot to include the warning that any LFer who purchases this is a complete idiot.
You could roll your own version of this with a $5 USB flash drive, a one-click download of a popular Linux LiveCD distro, and a free USB boot installer program to make a bootable flash drive easily.

No way that Willie, an experienced Linux user, is going to actually buy one of these for himself. He knows what a scam it is by any measure.
It's not hard to buy and set up your own bootable Linux LiveCD flash drive. If you can't do that much, you need to give up on computers and just use an abacus.

Seems to me that's what the seller did. He then added $30 for labor.

What's missing is a description of how it works, and it seems to be more than just a bootable flash drive. If it's just a case of being a bootable drive that bypasses a bogged down windows OS, such that just reinstalling the windows OS would do just as much good then okay, there's nothing special. Maybe it just works on the idea that old hard drives are slow and doesn't use them OS heavy lifting.
If someone's use to Windows and wants to keep it, and this is a bootable linux drive, then it's not much of a solution.

I just might want to buy this as my laptop has been slow just trying to access the internet at times. I'm wondering if this gadget will resolve network configuration problems as I am having to re-configure the configurations just to get on the net just about everyday. I do a diskclean once a week using CCleaner and Windows Cleanup Disk. Sometimes that helps but not all the time.

I looked at reviews. It's just a bootable flash drive.
When initially offered, it was $25 for an 8GB, $35 for a 16GB, and ~$55 for a 64GB version.
No reviewer ever mentioned anything other than it being a tiny generic flash drive.
