WORLD WAR III Title: The Battle of Manchuria - The Forgotten Victory 1945 Soviet Invasion of Manchuria and the Kwangtung Army Click on the link to see the video Post Comment Private Reply Ignore Thread Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest Copyrighted by Eagle Rock, not available in the States. Are you overseas now or just VPNing to mask your location? I could watch by relocating my VPN but I've seen similar accounts before. Toward the end of the war, the Chinese did some amazing stuff to try to rid themselves of the Japanese who had killed at least 20 million Chinese during their occupation. The bad blood toward Japan as a result is still strong with China. Or are you just trying to carry more water for Stalin's awful regime? And their attempt to horn in at the last minute on America's victory over Japan?

#3. To: A Pole (#2) Thank you for telling me that this video does not play on the other side of the pond. Thank you for confirming you are not in the States.
#4. To: A Pole (#2) I didn't watch the video, and I am not even sure what your point is. Given what happened after WWII, I cant understand why any Polish person would have sympathy for Russia.
#5. To: no gnu taxes (#4) (Edited) I didn't watch the video, and I am not even sure what your point is. History.
Given what happened after WWII, I cant understand why any Polish person would have sympathy for Russia. Many Poles were and are glad that Russians won WWII. For example my family, after half of them were killed by the Germans. BTW, I have a lot of sympathy for Germany, I guess you cannot imagine that either.
#6. To: A Pole (#5) Many Poles were and are glad that Russians won WWII Okay, I guess that explains your whole point of view. I'll move on. However, do you even consider how Poland was treated under the Soviet Union, and why many are grateful for American's role in the cold war?
#7. To: no gnu taxes (#6) However, do you even consider how Poland was treated under the Soviet Union I grew up in Poland under Communist rule, and I only heard about bad things that were happening during Stalin rule. Nothing comparable to what Poles suffered under German occupation. Before Stalin's death (he was not Russian BTW) the level of oppression was comparable to Pinochet's rule or Cuba under Batista. Since the late 1950s it was quite OK. You see, there is a lot of history revisionism going on.
Why many are grateful for American's role in the cold war? Some are or used to be, many do not think about American role during Cold War so much. Perhaps because they live abroad? :) In general people in Poland have various opinions. And half of them do not remember Cold War. What Americans know about Poland?
#8. To: A Pole (#7) I always thought it was like this:
