A lawyer for President Donald Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to a former adult-film star a month before the 2016 election as part of an agreement that precluded her from publicly discussing an alleged sexual encounter with Mr. Trump, according to people familiar with the matter. Michael Cohen, who spent nearly a decade as a top attorney at the Trump Organization, arranged payment to the woman, Stephanie Clifford, in October 2016 after her lawyer negotiated the nondisclosure agreement with Mr. Cohen, these people said.... . . .

Did Donald Trump make a 'uge mistake?
According to rooted-in-scandal TheDirty.com, Trump stepped out on knockout wife Melania Trump—while she was pregnant with their son Barron—with porn star Stormy Daniels.
Both Trump and Daniels are vehemently denying the story about the two of them hooking up after Trump had played in a golfing event and then meeting up multiple times afterward. Daniels herself told E! News that she's not commenting, but the story is "bulls--t."
"The totally untrue and ridiculous story written by Life & Style Magazine about Donald J. Trump emanated from a sleazy and disgusting website which, upon strong notification, fully withdrew its posting," read a statement to E! News from Michael Cohen, executive VP and special counsel to Trump.
"Correctly, upon seeing that the article was false, all other publications likewise withdrew and did not write their article. Life & Style magazine, however, informed our attorneys that 'it is too late...we have already gone to print and distribution,' even though, in fact, they were properly informed prior to going to print. The Trump Organization and Donald J. Trump will be bringing a lawsuit against the magazine.
"At the same time," Cohen concluded, "Mr. Trump and the Trump Organization would like to thank and commend Stormy Daniels and her attorneys for their honesty and swift actions."

Notice the pornstar issued the statement that Cohen was branishing and it was dated 2 days ago. The WH obviously knew this was coming.
I notice that Trump's lawyer and the pornstar are denying there was an affair. They did not deny that a payment was made which seems funny to me.
Cohen could easily have said "there was no affair, there was no payment of any kind". But all he said was "there was no affair".

That was a peculiar emphasis. Something about that letter looks phony to me.
You'd normally expect to see this on stationery with an attorney's letterhead. It looks like something hastily assembled and signed at the last minute.
I kinda wonder if Cohen didn't write the whole thing and just sent it to her for a signature. There could be a clause in the hush agreement that she is obligated to provide such denials. Well, if there was a hush money arrangement which, of course, there wasn't.

To be honest, I had no idea who she was. I had to search a bit just to discover her various aliases.

What was funny to me is the odd number and measly amount 130,000 dollars.
Rumor has it that a prominent lawyer was offering $500,000 to one woman to fabricate sexual harassment claim.
While another somewhat less prominent lawyer and a close relative to the first lawyer had another woman decline to come forward after being offered as much as $750,000.
I would have to see more than a report from some an unnamed sources and a much large dollar amount than the contemptibly small amount of 130,000 dollars offered for me to even start to consider any truth in the matter.

I, like you, would be overjoyed if there were never any non-medical need to terminate a pregnancy. I'm pro-life.
I support a woman's right to choose what will happen to her body. If a woman is raped, and decides that she will not bear her rapist's offspring, it is her right to terminate that pregnancy. The same holds true for incest.
Unfortunately many women terminate pregnancies for economic or social reasons, and sometimes just because they don't want a child.
The preferable response is to provide free birth control and counseling to all - and to culturally encourage their use.
Additionally - in the case of an unintended, or unwanted pregnancy, health care, financial support and care must be provided for the mother and child without consequences or cost.
Those are the options - pick one -
Until we as a culture begin to treasure life enough to pay to support it - we will have a culture that continues to terminate pregnancies.
