The father of actress Mira Sorvino, Paul Sorvino ("Goodfellas"), wants to dish out his own brand of street justice on movie mogul Harvey Weinstein for the way he treated Sorvino's daughter. On top of accusing Harvey Weinstein of sexually harassing her in the late-90's during the #MeToo storm, evidence soon surfaced that the famed movie producer allegedly blacklisted the Academy Award-winning actress in retaliation for her refusing his advances. The revelation came at the hands of "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson, who said that during the early days of that film's production, Weinstein persuaded him not to hire Sorvino or Ashley Judd. “I recall Miramax telling us they were a nightmare to work with and we should avoid them at all costs,” said Jackson. “At the time, we had no reason to question what these guys were telling us — but in hindsight, I realize that this was very likely the Miramax smear campaign in full swing,” added the director. “I now suspect we were fed false information about both of these talented women — and as a direct result their names were removed from our casting list.” Sorvino responded to the devastating news on Twitter: "There it is, confirmation that Harvey Weinstein derailed my career, something I suspected but was unsure. Thank you Peter Jackson for being honest. I’m just heartsick." At the time, Sorvino had already won an Academy Award for her role in Woody Allen's "Mighty Aphrodite." Now, Mira's father wants revenge for the way Weinstein treated his daughter – the "Goodfellas" way. “If I meet him on the street… he ought to hope he goes to jail,” Sorvino told TMZ Wednesday. “Because if we come across, I think he’ll be lying on the floor, somehow. Magically.” “He’s gonna go to jail, that son of a b*tch,” the actor continued. “Good for him if he goes, ’cause if not he has to meet me. And I’ll kill the mother****er.” Paul Sorvino admits to not knowing the extent of Weinstein's alleged crimes. “He would not be walking,” Sorvino said. “He’d be in a wheelchair.”

Yeah,maybe the movie tough guy will give him a paper cut? Lee Marvin he ain't. In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
Yeah but all the Goodfellas fans will love to think so. And maybe he would. Anyway, I thought some old coot saying I'm-a-gonna-kill-that-motherf-cker was a perfect headline for the LF sidebar. I recently found a LM movie I was unaware of. It was The Klansman and starred Lee Marvin, Richard Burton and O.J. Simpson. This movie was so racist it left Mandingo in the dust. LOL The back story of the movie is unreal: 'The film's premiere was held in Oroville. Executive producer Bill Schiffrin told the audience if they liked the film "they ought to see a psychiatrist".'
Lee Marvin and George Kennedy were two of the genuine hardcases that didn't suffer fools gracefully. Unlike today's rapper "tough guys",both went bar hopping without body guards,and didn't mind mixing it up with anyone at any time. George Kennedy spent his senior years raising a infant child his junkie daughter gave birth to. He just flat quit accepting movie roles and became a full time dad/granddad to the child. In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
George Kennedy had a rather amazing career. He was a supporting actor in so many movies, I can't even guess how many he appeared in. And across every film genre. And he was generally quite good in those roles. I just watched Thunderbolt and Lightfoot again after many years. Kennedy turned in a good performance as a vicious villain.
Sometimes it's better to be a second-tier star than a major star. You work more often,get offered more interesting roles,and don't get all the personal scrutiny of the big boys. With George Kennedy,it was always an automatic thought to me that I knew I was going to enjoy the movie if he was in it. It was a pleasant surprise to me to learn that in "real life" he was a very nice man that ended up putting family ahead of more fame and money. In the entire history of the world,the only nations that had to build walls to keep their own citizens from leaving were those with leftist governments.
I didn't know who George Kennedy was. Until I saw his picture. Now I see he was in cool hand Luke. I've seen him in a ton of movies. I see he just died last year. May he rest in peace.
