Former New Jersey Boy Scout came forward to accuse his scoutmaster of abusing him hundreds of times, in the 1990s, NJ.com reported. Every interaction he had with me and my family was for his ultimate goal of molesting me, Christopher Malcolm, now in his 30s, said outside his attorneys office in Roseland on Wednesday.
Malcolm alleged that Stephen Corcoran, an assistant scoutmaster of a troop in Parsippany, groomed him and sexually abused him over five years, starting when he was 11.
Corcoran, 49, was sentenced in June to seven years in prison for possession of child pornography. He is awaiting a separate trial on sexual-assault charges involving Malcolm and two other former scouts who were in the same troop during the 90s.
Malcolm and the two unnamed former scouts are suing the Boy Scouts of America over the ordeal. Also being sued are the Patriots Path Council, which covers five counties, as well as a local troop sponsor. Corcoran is a third-party defendant, which is brought into a case by other defendants.
The Boy Scouts of America never once advised parents or scouts that there was a plague that existed for a hundred years, Bruce Nagel, the three former scouts attorney, said. A plague of sexual abuse that was going on throughout the country.
Nagel also claimed the Boy Scouts had the largest databank of pedophiles in the world, in files kept by the organization documenting abuses by more than 5,000 scouts and volunteers since the 1920s.
On July 25, a judge ruled that the ex-scouts suing the organization could get access to the records.
The Boy Scouts of America said they were outraged there have been times when Scouts were abused, and apologized to the victims and their families, adding nothing is more important than the safety of our youth members and we consider youth protection our top priority.
Malcolm said he came forward because change needs to happen.
We need to make them bleed a little bit, he said of the Boy Scout organization. They need to be kicked in the butt a little.
Corcorans criminal defense attorney said this week that his client denies all of the criminal allegations made against him, NorthJersey.com reported.

No problem here. This pedophile was operating well before the BSA changed the rules that disallowed homosexuals and other deviates from serving as scout leaders. Besides, why did the lad wait until he was in his 30's before outing the perverted scoutmaster?
Current BSA leadership may very well be heavily larded with perverts. Why the policy change was a perversion in itself.
