Former FBI Director James Comey associates are leaking more information about his conversations with President Donald Trump, asserting that the president asked Comey to let his former National Security Advisor Mike Flynn go.
“I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go,” Trump told Comey, according to parts of the memo read to the New York Times. “He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go.”
At the White House Tuesday afternoon, White House aides denied the story.
“This is not a truthful or accurate portrayal of the conversation between the president and Mr. Comey,” they said, assuring reporters that Trump never asked Comey to shut down the investigation.
They also pointed to a statement from acting F.B.I. director Andrew G. McCabe saying a week ago that there had been no effort to impede the Russian investigation.
According to the Times, Comey kept detailed memos about every conversation he had with Trump over the phone and in person. After Trump spoke to him about Flynn, he shared the memo about the conversation with senior FBI officials. (1 image)

The particulars over the Flynn controversy have never been clear to me. What was wrong with what he did? In my opinion, I thought it was the "deep state" reaching up through Pence and blowing Flynn out of the White House. I don't trust any of the incumbent politicians, and only about half of the military brass.

I thought flynn lied to pence about whether or not flynn had a conversation with the russian ambassador about some sanctions or another.
Flynn said he didn't have the conversation but it came out he did.

It would sure explain why the GOP jumps to defend the demoncrat and attack even their own to protect demoncrats. There must be some big dirt on McCrazy! To this day have never seen the demoncrats protect anyone but their own.

I understand that is what we are being told. I have come to the point where I don't believe anything coming from anybody but Trump. I see Pence as a stand up conservative, but don't trust him. He wouldn't be in that position unless he was blackmailable, or compromised. The Dems will force him out first when the time is right, allowing Trump to appoint his successor, though he won't know it at the time. Then the big guns come blazing, maybe literally, and President Trump runs away or is carried away.
