Bang / Guns Title: Cohasset (Mass) police seize 100 firearms and 5 military-grade shells from Doane St. home Cohasset police seized approximately 100 unsecured weapons including shotguns, rifles and pistols from 50 Doane St. Friday afternoon. A Navy unit out of Newport, R.I. took custody of five military-grade ordnance shells also found in the home. Police received information from a credible source that the resident at that address had numerous unsecured rifles and shotguns strewn about his house and as a result, obtained a search warrant issued by a Clerk Magistrate at Quincy District Court. They executed the search warrant at 2 p.m.
When the military shells were found, officers backed out of the home and notified the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad. Members of the bomb squad arrived, assessed the shells, notified the United States Navy, and requested that they respond to take custody of the items. It is not known if the shells are live or not. Chief Bill Quigley explained that under state law firearms have to be secured in a locked cabinet or with a trigger lock. The 65-year-old man, who lives alone, did have a license to possess rifles and shotguns, which was revoked by Quigley on Friday. All of his weapons have been seized. “There are no more firearms in the house and in the adjacent building which he also owns that was searched as well,” Quigley said. This case remains under investigation by the Cohasset Police.
Poster Comment: Unbelievable - no probable cause of any crime. Pigs just raid the house (probably after getting a call from a hopolophobic liberal neighbor) and the thieving bastards just help themselves. Typical jack booted thugs. Someone turned him in. Or maybe cops did a wellness check and saw unsecured guns. Or maybe a mailman or UPS driver turned him in. He foolishly gave them probable cause. His other mistake was living in a state full of gungrabbing MAssholes. He could be in for more trouble. No doubt they will check each weapon and, out of 100 guns, they have a good chance at least one was reported stolen at some point or involved in a crime. And using the unsecured weapons charges as a pretext, they've now gotten him for the (possible illegal) possession of five Navy shells. And no matter the outcome, the state can always portray him now as a known and convicted irresponsible gun owner.
#2. To: Deckard (#0) All the weapons I saw looked like sporting arms. No " assault " types. Also, what is that equipment in the front of the truck bed? Is it a generator, or a welding device? I guess it was of the "assault" variety. Some local "do gooder" was probably pissed off at him. He might even have had a Trump sign in his yard. Biggest mistake this guy made was to be living in " Liberal Hell MA " The original residents of MA would be ashamed of them. I would suspect a bunch of those weapons will end up in some private collections. I would not even drive through that state, much less live there. Si vis pacem, para bellum

To: Stoner (#2) I would suspect a bunch of those weapons will end up in some private collections. I'm sure at least a few were "lost" on the way to the evidence locker. “Truth is treason in the empire of lies.” - Ron Paul![]() Those who most loudly denounce Fake News are typically those most aggressively disseminating it.Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest |
