Mexican Invasion Title: Sessions Announces Illegal Aliens Who Illegally Re-Enter The U.S. Will Be Charged With a Felony Speaking from the U.S.-Mexico border in Nogales, Arizona Tuesday, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced major changes to Justice Department protocol when it comes to charging and prosecuting illegal aliens. "For those that continue to seek improper and illegal entry into this country, be forewarned: This is a new era. This is the Trump era. The lawlessness, the abdication of the duty to enforce our immigration laws and the catch and release practices of old are over," Sessions said. Here are the details (bolding is mine): Further, Sessions said prosecuting those who assault federal law enforcement officers will be a priority. "If someone dares to assault one of our folks in the line of duty, they will do federal time for it," Sessions said. The Attorney General also emphasized the administration's focus on dismantling violent cartels and dangerous gangs inside America cities. "When we talk about MS-13 and the cartels, what do we mean? We mean criminal organizations that turn cities and suburbs into warzones, that rape and kill innocent citizens and who profit by smuggling poison and other human beings across our borders. Depravity and violence are their calling cards, including brutal machete attacks and beheadings," Sessions said. "With the President’s Executive Orders on Border Security, Transnational Criminal Organizations and Public Safety as our guideposts, we will execute a strategy that once again secures the border; apprehends and prosecutes those criminal aliens that threaten our public safety; takes the fight to gangs like MS-13 and Los Zetas; and makes dismantlement and destruction of the cartels a top priority." In this way, we can exploit the labor of the illegals to offset the costs of incarceration and prosecution, and we can get the full benefit we otherwise would have gotten out of their presence here (cheap labor in agriculture) without, however, paying them wages. Slavery is permitted under the 13th Amendment as punishment for crime. We have been told countless times that we NEED cheap immigrant labor in order to keep our fruits and vegetables cheap. Imprisoning people is expensive, but if you force them to work, you can make it profitable. That, in turn, gives law enforcement an incentive to root out illegals and get them into the forced labor camps of illegals. A virtuous circle that will cause illegal alien immigration to stop, and that respects American traditions, and keeps our cabbages cheap. Win. Win.

I'd be glad to see it. Maybe they could help build The Wall.

Not only did we outlaw slavery per the Thirteenth Amendment, but this is the very reason why we have labor laws in existence in our books to stop this practice. To be exploiting these illegal entrants also violates cruel and unusual punishment per the Eighth Amendment. By us exploiting these people for our own personal benefit makes us no better than them. And it does not give law enforcement any incentive to root out illegals at all especially where they are equal participants in this crime.

And it does not give law enforcement any incentive to root out illegals at all especially where they are equal participants in this crime. Prison labor is part and parcel of our society already, and it has been tried and found fully constitutional too. We CAN imprison illegals, and we CAN make them work. It's called PUNISHMENT, for the FELONY of invading the country illegally. "No better than them"? Maybe not. But stronger than them, certainly, because we can do this. If they don't want to be victims of us baddies, stay in their own country. Give law enforcement a cut of the profits from the sale of prison labor contracts and they will have a strong incentive to round up all of the illegals they can. Self-deportation, and just staying out in the first place, will do the rest of the work. It's our country, and we get to decide who gets to be here, and how they can come here. If they break our laws and do it their way, we get to punish them, including doing it in a way that exploits them and makes imprisoning them profitable for us, giving us an incentive to do it. If they want to illegally immigrate in order to become slaves, so be it. It will make our potatoes even cheaper!
#7. To: Vicomte13 (#6) Give law enforcement a cut of the profits from the sale of prison labor contracts and they will have a strong incentive to round up all of the illegals they can. They are already getting cuts from the profits which is why there is no strong incentive to round up and deport any illegal entrants at all. I mean why destroy your profit base here. Right?
#8. To: goldilucky (#7) But the current process doesn't discourage illegal immigration. The new President wants to cut illegal immigration, and the people do. Slavery still brings in lots of profits, but it acts as a pretty strong disincentive to illegal immigrants.
