Economy Title: Ron Paul Wants a Spot on Federal Reserve Board of Governors
Former Congressman Ron Paul. (Photo by Pete Marovich/Getty Images) Ron Paul's group, "Campaign for Liberty," is trying to get him a spot on the U.S. Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, a senior politics editor with the Huffington Post reports.
Paul, a former GOP member of Congress from Texas, earlier this week criticized the Federal Reserve, saying it was manipulating the economy. "We do not work on a free-market principle, we do not have sound money, it's all manipulated," he told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business Network. "Prices are going to go up and the money's going to be so bent according to political reasons and not because of business decisions, so we want the government out of it, we want people to save money, create capital, but capital cannot come from the Federal Reserve working with a computer, that's the fallacy and that's why zero rates of interest didn't work because they weren't realistic." Paul established "Campaign for Liberty," his nonprofit political organization, during his presidential run in 2008 with the purpose of spreading his idea that the government should be limited in its role. Paul also has run for president as a Republican and as a Libertarian. #2. To: buckeroo (#1) The Fed won't have him because Ron Paul believes that to make a policy decision, you don't lie to the American People. Like when he loads up spending in his district. Votes for it in committee. Makes sure it is there. Knows it is in must pass legislation. Then votes against it and grandstands. That is a lie.
#3. To: A K A Stone, tax theft (#2) votes against it and grandstands He's returning the money that was stolen from the people in his district, by the D&R Crime Syndicate. The stolen property has been returned to the owners.
#4. To: hondo68 (#3) He's returning the money that was stolen from the people in his district, by the D&R Crime Syndicate. Then so are all the others he whines about. If what you say is true then why does he vote against the final bill and pretend he is a spending hawk. Now he wants to sell you a freeze dryer.
#5. To: A K A Stone (#4) What is a freeze dryer?
#6. To: A K A Stone, *Bill of Rights-Constitution* (#4) Now he wants to sell you a freeze dryer. You want Obama to tax you more, so that Trump can give away free refrigerators to the Eskimos?
#7. To: Fred Mertz (#5) Can't find his actual ad. But here is an article on it. www.insidesources.com/ron...dryers-able-to-save-your- lives-in-glenn-beck-ads/
#8. To: hondo68 (#6) You want Obama to tax you more, so that Trump can give away free refrigerators to the Eskimos? You sound like an uninformed retard.
#9. To: A K A Stone (#8) Ron Paul is a capitalist. He's not forcing anyone to pay, like the crooks in government do.
#10. To: A K A Stone (#7) (Edited) Thanks for the link. They are too expensive for my tastes or needs.
#11. To: Fred Mertz (#10) I'd like to have one. But they are expensive. Here go make your own.
#12. To: A K A Stone (#4) vote against the final bill That depends what is hid in the FINAL bill. I do not go to church every time the doors are opened, but I love Jesus Christ. I am only human and fail Him daily. I believe Jesus is the Son of God, was born of a virgin, was crucified on a cross, died for my sins and rose from the dead and that He loves us dearly, and is faithful to forgive us of our sins. But He says that if you deny me in front of your friends I will deny you in front of my Father. Can I get an Amen! Top • Page Up • Full Thread • Page Down • Bottom/Latest |
