Computers-Hacking Title: It's dead, Jim (Hopalong's site crashes) It's dead, Jim Hardware failure requiring a trip to San Jose to sort out (eta 5PM PST.) The site may be down for most of the evening, if not the weekend, depending on the severity of the failure and the degree of Kung Fu necessary to bring us back online. We'll continue to update with progress reports, with the next likely within an hour of getting hands-on with the smoldering device. Next update 6-7PM PST. The walk-on-eggshells, totalitarian environment seems to be doing just fine though, last I checked. Everybody's in line and George Bush Jr. has gone from being the subject deity of daily picture-licking slobberfests to being doubleplusungood.

Yet no one asks the obvious: "Jim, John, why are you still clinging to that Packard-Bell dinosaur and Windows 98?" Where is that new server you promised 15 years ago?
There are LESS people posting there than 15 years ago. They still eat their own. They've eaten their best. Nothing ever changes, expect that now it appears Dubya Bush is finally a persona non grata. 10 years too late and now that all the damage has been done. As one would expect, constructive criticism of Donald Trump on any subject is verboten by JR and his cat-lady mods from Nursing Home Central. It is and will always be an Echo Chamber. An excellent point; I'd forgotten about the 'coincidental' crashes right before the grifting kicks off each quarter. They're having a tough time keeping it under two out of every three months now, and are demanding $88,000 each quarter for their rickety, steam-powered, Big Brother piece of shit. For that kind of money they could have a technician delivered to the server with all-new hardware by limousine. I've now edited this posting three times - no Sheeper has EVER edited one of their posts in twenty years, but there are tens of thousands of "correction, shoulda been....." posts.
