Moderator: Martha Raddatz, Chief Global Affairs Correspondent and Co-Anchor of "This Week," ABC Moderator: Anderson Cooper, Anchor, CNN Location: Washington University in St. Louis, MO The second presidential debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which half of the questions will be posed directly by citizen participants and the other half will be posed by the moderator based on topics of broad public interest as reflected in social media and other sources. The candidates will have two minutes to respond and there will be an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion. The town meeting participants will be uncommitted voters selected by the Gallup Organization. Me too. I was joking with my family about how she is the devil and there are flies on her dead body just like Obama. I got up and it looked like it was on my screen but we had put so much stuff in front of the TV I could not get that close! LOL Then I backed up the video because I have a dvr and it was on there. Everyone complains that the candidates avoid discussing the issues and engage in gutter politics, yet the debate moderators in the first half of the debate focused solely on both candidate's scandals. I was watching the clock, wondering if they were EVER going to discuss the real problems facing America. What a circus. Good for ratings, I'm sure, but what did we learn?
I did not watch the whole thing. I watch the last 1/3 or so and it looked as if Trump was beating her. In that his counter punching style was scoring points. But I still think most people have decide who they wanted already. I know one thing Ted is pissed because it could have been Him beating up Clinton like a rag doll! Im still surprised the race is still this close. You have an asshat vs an asshat who is the most corrupted candidate ever to run for office! Where is the real decision here?
I thought so. Trump pulled out all the stops. He even brought in 4 of Bill's victims and gave a pre-debate press conference with them. Then revealed that he, as President, would bring in a special prosecutor to go after Hillary. But the best exchange of the night was: Hillary: "(It's) good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the laws in this country.”
Beat on her like a rented mule. Trump started off composed and reserved. But for the first 30-45 minutes the moderators were focused on the scandals affecting both candidates. I was wondering if they were ever going to discuss the issues. If you didn't know it before this debate you know it now -- Trump is no politician. He speaks his mind and he doesn't mince words. That may make some people uncomfortable, but it doesn't mean he can't be a great President.
Thats refreshing since thats how politicians tell you your too stupid to understand the ways of politics and thats why they had to vote against what they claimed they were going to vote for when elected. The only fair way would be for each side to pick a moderator to ask the opponent questions . Chris Wallace will moderate the last one ;but he has already stated that he doesn't think the role of the moderator is to fact check the responses. In bridge, you have wild cards called trump cards.
