Today's Liberty Report is joined by US Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) to discuss the state of the liberty movement both inside and outside of government. What can we do to make a difference?

Poster Comment:
Massie has officially endorsed (lukewarm) Trump, Ron Paul never will.
They wisely ignore Trump, and focus on liberty in this interview. IMO, Thomas Massie is the true heir to the Ron Paul legacy.
Thanks for posting this. I really like Massie, we need more like him. I have family in Ky, and they always have good words about him.

Thomas Massie is the true heir to the Ron Paul legacy.
The only so called “Ron Paul legacy” is that Ron Paul was one member of 435 in Congress with views that were so vastly different from those of his colleagues. In fact so different that just four of the 620 Paul-sponsored measures made it to the House floor for a vote, and only one became law. Furthermore, he never prevented any laws from being passed. Consequently, he in no way shaped the ethos of the House and he was completely unable to make any change within our sclerotic politic system. Ron Paul tried to inspire a no compromise libertarian radicalism, a libertarianism that no one on the scene now fully embodies....not even his son serving in the Senate. What he and his conjured group of radically dedicated activists, Paulrards, tried to do was to use a rowdy, young-skewing throng to force everyone to embrace ideas that were too fanatical for public acceptance. They failed….they failed miserably!
Paul Derangement Syndrome (PDS) is a mental condition that, though it was first detected during the 2008 Republican presidential primaries, has only now been identified for the dangerous disorder that it is. Also known as “Paulophobia,” those suffering from it find themselves tortured by their fear of Texas Congressman and three time presidential candidate Ron Paul.
PDS is peculiar in that in spite of its being a contagion, there is but one segment of the general population that it is known to afflict. Even more curious is the fact that this segment consists of Ron Paul’s fellow partisans in the Republican Party. More specifically, it is neoconservative men and women, especially those with a particularly powerful proclivity for “conservative” talk radio and Fox News, who are most susceptible to contracting PDS.
PDS is known to ravage the rationality of its hosts. While this disorder indeed promises to reduce its victims’ thoughts on Congressman Paul to textbook cases of illogic, it would be a mistake to infer from this that every Paulophobe was a clear thinker prior to falling prey to PDS: In a not inconsiderable number of instances, Paulophobia hasn’t so much as caused the wild irrationality that is the most salient characteristic of all PDS victims as exacerbated the general unreasonableness with which they already lived.
Unlike many other illnesses, PDS isn’t at all difficult to identify. The Paulophobe’s discourse on all matters pertaining to Ron Paul, or at least to Ron Paul’s presidential candidacy, is replete with, not just inconsistencies, but glaring inconsistencies, contradictions that are so profound that even a college freshman enrolled in an introductory logic course couldn’t help but to be pained by them. To anyone remotely attuned to reality or possessed of a modicum of reason, the Paulophobe’s utterances can’t but sound like the babblings of a baby: indecipherable noises intending to signify we know not what.

Look Gatlin - we all know that individual liberty is a concept that you are not a big fan of, so I can understand why you would hate someone like Ron Paul who champions those core concepts upon which this nation was built.
Suffice it to say, you and the other fascist-thinking individuals who infest this site will never understand.

"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards."
Ron Paul delivered his hard hitting farewell address on the House floor Wednesday in which he called out the “psychopathic authoritarians” who have eroded our individual liberty and plundered our wealth. As Dr. Paul readily admits, conventional wisdom may say that he has “accomplished very little” in terms of legislative successes during his 12 terms in Congress. Maybe so, but
Ron Paul has accomplished something far more important and enduring. He has inspired an entire movement dedicated to the ideas of constitutionally limited government, free markets, and a non-interventionist foreign policy.
Ron Paul’s legacy should not be measured by the number of his bills passed by Congress. His main objective was never to get his bills signed into law. There are no federal buildings or highways named after Ron Paul. “Thank goodness,” he says; he never wanted that.
Ron Paul’s accomplishments should instead be measured by the number of hearts and minds that he has changed. Throughout Ron Paul’s entire congressional career, spreading the message of liberty has always been his first and foremost priority. He ran for president three times to bring more attention to our continual loss of liberty in this country. And for that message, we all owe him a great debt of thanks.
Dr. Paul said in his farewell address that, “political action, to be truly beneficial, must be directed toward changing the hearts and minds of the people.” Unlike many politicians, Ron Paul didn’t seek political office for personal gain, power, or money. He entered politics to raise awareness to the serious problems that this country faced right after Nixon took us off the quasi-gold standard.
The sad fact is that your measure of accomplishment is determined by how many new laws a politician has passed, how hard he or she has worked to curtail liberty - that's how you determine success.
Your idea of successful legislators is “psychopathic authoritarians” who have eroded our individual liberty...

A “hero” is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
Ron Paul meets all of those qualifications.
You on the other hand possess none of them
Look queerbait, your idea of a hero is a thug with a badge who shoots and kills family pets, and politicians who vote to increase the police/surveillance state.
You are neo-con scum.
I'm done responding to your fetid posts on this thread.
